Hey what is this, the MN guys are working on having a second meet I'm not sure about the other neighboring states but I know they've had them, and we haven't even had one. I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a meet at all. For now let's shoot for mid to late August (I don't mind changing this if need be). As for the area let's try west side of the state, middle (possibly Eau Claire, or La Crosse). Again I am open to suggestions, and this is more of a "feeler" thread than anything else.

Any particular reason for over on that side? I think there might be more of us on the east/southeast area.
I don't care either way. If it's <2 hours I'll be there. Anything more and it depends upon work.

Well since you guys don't know, I live in this area of the state, so I'm more familiar with it. I think having a meet in central WI would be best for everyone, but I'm not familiar with that area. Besides if you have ever been to the La Crosse area you know that the bluff and river roads are beautiful.
And again this is just a feeler thread, I wanna know how much interest there is in a WI meet.

why dont you try to get more people and reach out to MN and IL.
But it is true we need a WI meet that is located in WI

I was planning on it if I do host a meet. but right now 2 people really doesn't seem worth while. besides I never said I was going to host it, if someone in central WI wants to I'll let them.
If I do host I'll invite our neighbors of course, it will be in the La Crosse area, And I'll try to get us to go to a park or campsite so we can do some fun stuff (like canoing) besides eating and talking. If I'm lucky I'll even see if I can get us on the local race track (it's only a 1/2 mile but still fun to be on). I would definitely do a short cruise to show off some of the scenery and test our cars.
Again this is just a feeler and nothing is set in stone, I am open to suggestions, even as to who should host and where.

someone could do what yellow2000sr is doing and have everyone pay 5$ that way that covers food and what not for people, but he has the land to host it for sure. dam i wish i lived closer to NY that meet sounds like it will be great

This sounds like a killer idea. I know the area here as well. I think grandads bluff would be an awsome spot to take pictures of all the cars.. nice area up there. I'll contribute to the cause.

Well I was thinking Goose Island since they do have some nice spots. But the downside is that the bugs are bad (at least they are when I'm down there). Grandad's Bluff would be nice, but the best road up there, Bliss road is closed due to the flooding we've had. Since I'll leave for basic in Sept. I still live with my parents, and I don't think they would like to have a meet out here. And besides my house is hidden from the road so its really hard to find. Another fun location, that would be highly unlikely would be the local 1/2 mile track.
If you guys want I can do pics of all of these locations so you get an idea. Or you could come down for the street drags the eighth and I can show you around.

Here is the first video of Ctr NN and Kammel Coulee Rd.

Tell me what you think. And by the way the video has been sped up 2x, so it isn't as boring. And I wasn't going full speed because I had to deal with the tripod. Yes I know the music is random, thats the whole point.

Dude, that music sucks. Horribly. I got to the end of the first road and had to shut the vid off.

^lol just put it on mute. Don't worry the rest of the vids have rock, like Audioslave and Fuel. These weren't meant to be entertaining, they were meant to show what roads I have around here, and get opinions on whether we want to cruise on some of these roads. And btw I love how that song pisses off guys in American cars (mostly the trailer trash Cammaros and similar cars or any true rocker) but the guy's in riced out cars seem to love it. Idk I just find that mildly entertaining.

I'll have to see if I can steal the GF's camera and rig it in my car and take a ride out on the ledge east of Fondy. Fun as hell out there.

Hey how about this. We meet Sep. 12 (Friday). we would get together at Riverside park in La Crosse, then cruise out to the park in Coon Valley so we an grill out and what not. then later we can head down to the street drags.
Anyone up for that? Suggestions are welcome.

Street Drags?

they use the local circle track, you race down the front strait, no times displayed, just a green light and go... aka street drags.
