i think thats it ..i'm probably forgetting somthing but thats the majorety of it.
i've put alot of time and $$$ into this car i hate to see it go. but things are pretty bad right now
the car is in mesa AZ it does currently have a lien on it but the sale price will be enough to pay off what i owe no worries there just might make the sale take a day longer.
this car runs amazing handles better than any other car in it's class i've ever driven.

you can reach me at Construct.ent@gmail.com or pm me

i'm asking $5600 will take offers but please don't insult me. this is like selling my child..

the pix are older and dont show the rims.. i'll try to get new pix in the next day or so

If your talking about my car. They are actually 18" FSVT rims. Bigger lip on the rim less tire. I love them.

Best part is.... I got my rims and rubber for $50 bucks.

The price is not really high. I know of a guy asking more for a bone stock one with no work whatsoever done to it.

The Contour SVT is an amazing car definitely worth the money. This car was dubbed 'the poor mans M3'.

KBB private party sale in good condition is $3850 with a 3.8 out of 5 rating. My ZX2 (with lots of mods and running 14.7 1/4 mile) KBB private party sale is $4860 with a 4.2 out of 5 rating and no one even wants to buy it for $5000 here. People are cheap in this forum your better off trying to sell in the SVT owners forums.

Ok well i had a nice thought out response..but the page didnt load so it was lost when i tried to post it...

- the rims in the pix are the stock rims those are old pix i havnt taken new ones with the new rims...it does have FSVT 17's on it now...

- the price from KBB is useless when your talking about a modded car.. it's a matter of understanding the work that has been done and the time taken. and finding someone that appreciates that it was dont right. this isnt a car just anyone will buy it's gonna take the right person...

- the headers go with the car.. sorry.. my hope is everything levels out here and i can actually keep it and get the headers put on and enjoy my car..but i dont see that happening so it's here for sale. if you want a good deal on a set look up nautilus motor sports thats where i got mine they got a pretty good price on them

2000zxt... i'll sell the spare SVT block heads and manifolds to you if your interested the block needs to be cleaned and rebuilt but its a good start to building a solid motor.

contour forum doesn't allow for sale posts. and havnt gotten around to getting it up on SVTOA

all the problems are minor. the car was built to drive. not to win a car show or be like new if you read all the workings of the car it's self shy of the front sub frame and the block and internals are new within the last year and a half that fact alone make up a good portion of the mark up and i mean NEW from ford installed by a reputable dealership

***edit*** oh and the calipers are original...lol....hadnt gotten around to gett'in my brake kit yet..

I'm not really interested in the block, whenever I do that I'm gonna go with the 3.0.

Definitely interested in the IMs though.

Oh and thanks for the link, I'm really behind with the contour aftermarket.

PS: know anywhere I can get a UDP for less than 125? Seems pretty pricey.

they made 18" FSVTwheels?? I have had all 3 styles (5spoke,euro, and 6 spoke) and they have all been 17's

Oh and to the OP I love these cars good luck with the sale

make me an offer on the manifolds..
you dont want a underdrive pully you want the DMD from ford. it's alot better for the life of the motor.

if your do'in a 3l swap you might want the heads too...

and yours are 17" SVTs you got man.. the only 18s they made were the RS wheels.. 18x8.. wish i could get ahold of those...

2000ZxT
07-27-2008, 04:20 PM
I thought they were 17" too but I measured them and they were 18" from lip to lip, that must not be the correct way to measure rims?

I definitely will want those heads if I can afford them. Well see.

Researching the DMD. I think I'm going to go with a UDP. I want hp. The engine is coming out eventually so I don't care all too much.

Torsen T2 LSD

dj59y
07-27-2008, 08:21 PM
yeh it's a FWD LSD... i wish i had the $$$ to make this car RWD that would be so fun.. it'd defiantly be a bimmer killer in all ways then..

yeh yours are 17 might wanna buy a new tape measure those are the same rims that are on mine now. make me an offer on the manifolds... they are 2000 upper and lower no injectors or anything like that.. and i think the lower is missing the connector rod for the butterflies but thats not a problem if your replacing your stock ones just take it off them. and you'll want to find a SVT throttle body to go on them

and even if you plan to have the motor out go with the DMD ford doesn't redesign parts unless it's important and the dmd was an updated part from ford. if you want the rev advantage it'll give you do the flywheel... the fidanza flywheel for those cars is 9lbs. and the stock SVT one is 22ish. that makes a hell of a difference....even the Zetec fidanza is only 11ish lbs. so imagine that nice V6 with that light flywheel..it's nice...and you dont loose as much torque as you might think.

2000ZxT
07-28-2008, 07:44 AM
Yeah I had a Fiddy but it was for a Focus MTX-75 so I ended up selling it off.

I should have gotten this job. If I get it I'm dumping my first 2 paychecks into contique which desperately needs it. I'll let you know.

dj59y
07-28-2008, 07:48 AM
yeh i have the one thats on my Csvt and one on a zetec in a 2nd gen wagon....

they make a good product.. but i had to shave out the hole in the center of the one for the zetec it was like 2mm to small to fit on the crank

dj59y
07-28-2008, 07:48 AM
why not dump your next 2 paychecks into the bank get a small loan and buy my car ;-p

2000ZxT
07-28-2008, 09:49 AM
I have about $18,000 worth of student loan debt I owe to a debt collector. : /

And I <3 my mystique. My hood is a total BMW rip off and I love it, it has 4 awesome contour lines. I'm buying the stockish (reminds me of a 2k3 zx2 bumper) but very good looking front bumper on the internet, then getting the SVT side skirts and rear bumper from the junkyard. Already have the 17" (hah) 5-spokes and coilovers in the garage ( I need struts for my coilovers any recommendation? I cant drop $800 on konis thats not how I roll). After thats all done I'm getting black 32 spoke euro wheels, 2" wheel spacers, and painting the car metalic bright blue.

As you can tell I have my work cut out for me. The work is the easy part imo, the hard part is financing this while working on another car and trying to make money on my own which eats more of my money than anything ever before.

PS: This post should be a testament to how much I love the contour. It's eurocentric, it's not like our escorts. Sitting inside one, ESPECIALLY, an SVT, you feel like your in a muccchh more expensive car, especially when it's accelerating. This car drives like a dream, I love my project escort but after driving my contique around for a while I could never DD an escort again, ever.

dj59y
07-31-2008, 02:00 AM
yeh i always liked the mystique's hood.. i've owned 2 of them.. a 98 and a 99.

be careful with that bumper it's fiberglass and marginal work at best there's a lot of sanding and shaping in your future on that one.

what coil overs do you have?
as far as struts.. pay for the koni's there's nothing even close to them. unless you go all out and order a K sport or D2 True coil over kit for it. if you on that much of a budget then maybe the st200 struts from BAT... but they are about close to stock.. might wanna see what KYB offers for them.

i hear ya on the financing part. figure i paid almost 6k for my svt. and the drivetrain cost almost that much then the suspension was probably that much if not more...i know i've bought my car at least 3 times with the work i've done over the years.

contours are nice.. the interior.. i prefer the standard cloth seats to SVT seats any day.. the cloth ones are nice buckets that actualy hold you the SVT ones are too loose with big bolsters that do no good..

i DD my escort... then again. if it was still a 1.9 car i prob. wouldn't enjoy it as much

so what you gonna offer me for those manifolds... i got rent to pay...
