Hey Serious,
I have an 8 speaker system stock in my GTi. I want to replace the speakers, but I don't want to run an amp. My aftermarket HU is 50 watts peak per channel (probably around 18-20 RMS). Is there any component set I could replace the stock speakers with? If not, are there any mid/bass drivers that might work? My tweeters sound good, but I definitely want to replace the mid/bass drivers. Stock size is 6.75", but I can make 6.5's work. Let me know what ya got. Thanks

I do sell seperate mid-bass compnent speakers. BUT, most require a custom install or door pod. They are too deep to install into regular doors. One brand has a 6" mounting depth. They are also high in price. They are sold as individual "subs" and go for around $40 each. I would recommend just buying a regular component set and just using the woofer. It will save you money in the long run.
What is your budget to include shipping?

Let me know what you have that is cheap, but good quality. Like I said, I don't want to have to run an amp, so I know that will rule out a lot of my options. I'm not sure on my budget at the moment... it all depends on when (and for how much) I sell some things I have posted on a couple forums.

Thats for 1 complete set.
(2) 6.5" Mid-bass speaker
(2) Tweeters
(2) X-Over networks
For 2 sets, it would be $140 shipped.

I came across some nice 6.5 midbass component subs. They are PowerBass (which I love and endorse) for $30 each. I forgot the part number. I'll get that to you tomorrow.

PowerBass 4XL6592
4XL Series is thier "top of the line" stuff.
These 6.5" Mid-bass Drivers feature:
200 watts max
100 watts RMS
Hybrid carbon cone
92 dB spl (which is loud for a 6.5" speaker) There are subs that can't do this.
35 oz Ferrite magnet (which is large for this size speaker)
2" voice coil (which is extremely large for a 6.5" speaker)
For a set it would be $60

I know this might be a dumb question, but is the power bass gonna have to be replaced in 6months to a year? It's hard to believe that a setup that cheap is great quality. Not knocking them, cause I don't them. I am not trying to be rude either. If they are worth it I may pick a pair up at that price. And it is very difficult to get a set that runs at 92db at a cheap price. And i like my music loud.
I am also a hard-core pioner/premier fan. Will I be disappointed?

First, don't ever rate a speakers quality by its price.
Second, I offer these "at cost", not retail. Retail on a set of the 4XL6592 for example is $160. Just because a company sells them for $60 doesn't mean they are crap. If it would make you feel better, I could charge you full retail. :beernana:
Pioneer tends to be a little more high in the vocals than PB. Both have thier advantages/disadvantages. I am an authorized Pioneer dealer as well.

Sorry, don't think I was doggin you or your product. And I agree, the Pioneers are a lot higher on their vocals than most. And I really don't want to pay retail.:eeek: LOL. Do you offer the Premier series of pioneer? If so, I am wanting a price on the 10" 1200wt Chamion series sub.

I wasn't offend at all and understand totally what you were saying. Sorry if it came across wrong.
If you are refering to the TS-W257D2/D4 then yes. But they are rated at 1000 watt for 10". The 12s are rated at the 1200 watts.
Anyways those are $60 + S/H

My bad. What about the TS-W2501D2? And the 8" shallow sub?

Hey serious, I have some eclipse in the front and was wondering what you would recommend to replace the stock rear speakers. Something good but not super high in price.
