I'm getting codes 1380, and 1381, after we rebuilt the motor. ZX2fst did the timing, and god knows he's done it 5 or 6 times so I don't think it has anything to do with the timing. And the car started dying after I came to a stop. it stopped doing that after a little bit of driving...any ideas?

I'm going tommorrow to look at a mazda 3. I'm done with this damn thing. too much trouble.

It seems your VCT may have failed. When is the last time you changed the oil and what kind of oil did you use?

I put oil in the car after we got it all back together and got the motor in, and I'm using royal purple. I may just go ahead and delete vct, or just drive the car off a cliff.

as Fast said, it's the VCT. 1380 is the actuator, which could mean the solenoid, the oil passages or the actual actuator on the exhaust gear. 1381 just says the cam isn't being retarded. Before you run it off a cliff, Have a beer, count to ten. Then check things out. It could be something simple.

They aren't going to give you anything for the mods you have. You should part it out and return it to stock before you trade it.

I just talked to him, he's getting rid of it the way it is..no cf hood for me, lol
