zx2 vs dodge caravan

So I was heading down home from work last night when a caravan pulls up behind me flashing his highbeams. I pull into the slow lane on the highway thinking he was going to pass. Well, he ends up coming along side me and I notice the passenger window roll down. I roll mine down and it's a guy asking if i wanted to race.

Not being one to turn down a challenge, I said sure. The highway was totally empty so I said we should start from 30km/h. He agrees and we slow down.

I sound my horn and we're off. The van had me off the line. I could definitely hear some sort of sound coming from his engine bay. Perhaps a turbod v8. As he widened the gap, I realized my situation and took my loss in stride. It's not every day you get to race an exotic and the zx2 never had much of a chance against something that powerful in the first place.

There's stories all over the internet about turboed Odysseys. And I've personally seen a supercharged Chevy Venture. Had the engine and supercharger from a Grand Prix GTP.

There's not much different besides the internals & the intake manifold on the SC 3.8L. But it's a good swap to do, similar to swapping the top end from the TBird Super Coupe's 3.8L onto the Windstar's 3.8L.

There was an small article in Car & Driver in the One Lap of America section where some Honda tuning shop heavily modified an Odyssey for competition. They removed something around 400lbs out of it, coilover suspension and turbocharged running on a Hondata. Its quickest 1/4 mile was a 14.8; considering the stock ones run a mid-low 16, that's pretty crappy. But I suppose it did what most modded hondas do when they race... disappoint.
