Wow, I really do like the site because when you search something it has pics next to every link. As gay as that is, it helps. But, I 'cuiled' teamzx2 and our site didn't even come up.

Tried it, crappy results...don't like it. They definitely need to work on it, A LOT.

its no where near competing with google at this point.
then again, years ago, google was no where near the monster it is now. they have a lot of things to work on, keep your eye on it though you never know.

I'm thinking of buying some stock in this. 5 years ago Google was like $2/share. Now its near $600 I think.
That is one hell of a profit. I can take like $200 and buy 100 shares.

hmm..that is true. The internet world will only get bigger so why not invest in something that might go up.

Exactly. If I lose $200, well shit. If I don't, well shit. Hell yes. LOL
Think about it. $2x100=$200
100x600= 60,000 :]
That would be a hell of a down payment on a house or paying cash for a new car.

Google is pretty unique in the share price arena. They have refused to go about business, namely earnings projections and forecasts, and stock splits and such, in a normal manner. They do things their way... you're not going to find many companies that do that. Cuil is adecent for a startup, but you never know... see if they ever go public.

If they start gaining momentum, Google will just buy them and eliminate them or merge their searches with their own. :D

before you make a gamble on a brand new company you need to look into their potential and what they have now, compare to the other similar businesses in the market and the possibility of their success.
This statement is not far from the truth as google is like the borg and have pretty much assimilated with a hefty price people who tried to compete.

You don't always buy someone for their talen.. sometimes you buy them to put them out of business. It can work both ways, and I wouldn't put it past Google to ever do that... however, I think Cuil has a LONG way to go before it's in Google's territory, and we're just going to have to wait and see.
My personal findings haven't been too great with them so far.

google stock was never $2/share, the IPO was through a dutch auction at $85/share and has skyrocketed since.

Here, learn something... Go to this link and follow the chart back to 2004. This company had one of the largest IPO's EVER. $2 a share is a far cry from what it was lol.

Edit... and no, I have not been back to this engine since the first time i checked it out ;).
