Spotted: Red Z, black wheels, and dual exhaust in Mad.Heights last night

Hey guys-

Long time, no posting :) Some of you remember me, but I just never re-registered after the site changed...but am now amping up for the eventual "bye-bye" of the s/r :shrug:

But yeah, late last night while I was jogging around my neighborhood, i saw this red zx2 about 3 times...once in the neighborhood, once on John R, and again on 12 mile road...it's like the guy was doing circles around the neighborhood, but it looked and sounded really well done.
Just thought I'd see if it was one of you new guys.

Whats up on the car? My car, or this red one that I saw?
The only upcoming changes to my car consist of slowly de-ricing and going back to stock so I can eventually sell it for a decent price :-/ ...or possibly getting rid of the two tone and going all yellow. Still trying to decide.

right on man, im looking to get rid of mine too. Hey do you have pics of that lowes garage door rubber that you had on front? and the rubber on the rear. Those were some very original ideas post up some pics!

lol. I'm sure it sounds goofy...

I found this awesome stuff that was like an added extension to my WW lip to make it line up nicely with the buddy club sides & rear. It worked great, but it's no longer on.

As far as the rear...I refused to mold the kit, cause I knew I wouldn't want it permanently done...and the first kit I ever bought (but never put on) came with this thin strip of paintable flexable molding that would cover the seem between the bumper and the body kit and would cover the screws/bolts in the rear bumper after attaching the kit...well I no longer had that thin strip of molding and was feelin squirrely, so I did some research and found something that worked nicely.

yeah whatever its my fault. Not quite a spacer, Basically he took a peice of rubber and wrapped it around the bumper covering the seam and the screws used to hold it on. Looked great in person.

It's just a thin strip that I used to cover the unsightly screws that were used to put the rear wrap on.

it was pretty swett, On the front of his ww lip? he had a peice of garage door trimming, you can google home depot lip to see what im talking about, needless to say that looked great to. But was just to low and broke off you said?

Mike, long time no see! You should come out to an Xceed meet sometime. There's one that myself, Kevin (zxtool if you don't remember him), Eric (rockthemullet), and Anthony (tweakfreak88 ) frequent on Thursday nights at the Canton Bdub's, it's only about 45 minutes away from you. :)

Are you 100% sure that red ZX2 you spotted had dual exhaust? I would say it's Kevin, but his tires are shot so he's on the stock 5-spokes right now, and he has the stock exhaust with a Borla muffler, no dual tips.

Yeah, when i first saw the car I thought it was Kevin...then i saw dual exhaust. It was really weird. Looked pretty similar to Kevins...but it was dark so I couldn't tell too well, but it defenitly had dual.

Yep, no duals on mine. i just moved to just north of downtown Royal Oak though so I am around the area a lot.

But yep...rolling on stock 14s until I can get some new tires. :sad: I hate it.

Mike and Chris, when you guys are able to go, the Canton Bdub's is just off of 275 on Ford road.

Take 275 south past I-96, the 2nd exit after I-96 will be Ford road. Turn right, go past the light (Haggerty road), and it's a half mile down on your right-hand side. :)
