This guy that drives a Z28 automatic, been running his mouth saying that this car is quick. that most of anything he runs he can beat. Well we were all hanging out one night, and he was trying to get one of his friends witha 350z to run him and the guy did not want to. Well he then looks at me and tells me that I should race him. That I might be able to keep up. So I don't really want to since I have slipping clutch and it don't like 2nd gear. Finally I agree and we head out.
so we line up and I beep three times. we launch and we are even, I grab 2nd, and start pulling, and pulling, I let off the gas around 80 or 90 and I had pulled about 1 and half car lengths on him. He was so mad when he got out of the car. ever since that night he hasn't come around. and I havn't heard from him. It was a good night.

The Z28 was stock, year I'm not sure on.
1/4 I don't know havn't had it to the track since I put the turbo on. WHP is 210. and that was back in April when I had it dynoed. I was also running 6 lbs of boost that night.

Nive Job!
Whatever that means
nice job bro on the beat. Lt1's are slow. Man look at some of the camero pic's they had a lot of ugly years. I think the 69 and 00 were the only good years they had for body style for them.

LT1's are rated at 275hp at the flywheel, so 220ish at the wheels for an auto. Add 1000 more pounds. My guess of the camaro driver is, he's young and thinks his car is badass. Took a escort to put him in his place. But when you look at the stats, anyone with brains should have put money on your car over the camaro. Let me know if you are ever in the York area of PA. I'll run you

if its against that camaro in the background of your sig. I'll pass, lol. I have a friend that has that exact bodystyle and his car is insane. So is his brothers 69 SS 2 cars around here I never would want to jump onto.

Yeah, the one in my sig. Mine is pretty quick. Only lost to a cobra and that was cuz we were on a highway. 3speed auto < 5spd cobra. Oh, lost to a 750cc bike by 2 car lengths. Not saying my car is the fastest, but it holds its own. Always room for progress

Good kill! I ran right with one last summer. He jumped out a car on me at the start (timed the light better) but i he did not pull away and i did not gain on him.. just wish i had gotten a better launch to stay nose to nose with him.

Reminds me of the time I was delivering pizzas in 02. Headed out to a house and noticed a 90's Camero heading the same way as me. Forget if it had RS or Z28 badges on it. Get to the house I'm delivering to and I see the same Camero down the street, delivering pizza's as well. In the end we end up at a stop light on the way back and I crush him. Stop at next light and roll down the windows. He says no one usually messes with him because of the badges and he was surprised that an Escort took him down. It was fun. I've driven a friends 90's RS and dear god it was slow. I think my parent's 90's Cavaliers were quicker.

If I remember correctly, Motortrend or Car & Driver got the same 1/4 mile time out of a 1991 Escort GT 5 speed and a 1991 Camaro RS V8 5 speed. Both were low 16's.
