i was told to bugbomb the car. i'm afraid that this will affect the seats and places people will touch. it seems a bit extreme, and i'm afraid of the stink it will cause in the car.
also, mildew on leather seats has built up, its the cause of what makes my car smell like a rotting forest right now. i've been told to use an all purpose cleaner with ammonia on it to clean it off the leather seats and other areas, and then armor all it. on top of this i will need to shampoo the carpets most likely...
recommendations for cleaning out deep rotting STINK that has built up over 10 years? the carpet in this car is FLAWLESS, so are the rear seats. so i really DO NOT want to replace the seats just because of mildew unless it has eaten it's way into the foam... so i want to try CLEANING it first, and see how it does.
My porsche is INFESTED with black widows and it scares the SHIT out of me!

Bug bomb. Tear everything out that is replaceable and replace it. When mold starts, it's hard to stop. Just clean it up with some alcohol or small sort of house hold spray after you bomb it. then let it air out for a while. It'll start to smell better after you clean everything and toss out all the moldy stuff.

rent an ozone generator. put it in car, run an extension cord outside. Plug in extension cord, leave it running for the better part of a day. Unplug cord, walk away for a few hours, hold breath and open car doors. Walk away for another 10 minutes.

could you elaborate as to what exactly this does?

It gives you the basic idea of what it does. Great mold and smell killer.

i would put the car in a garage and let one off inside it and the garage at the same time

the car still isnt in your garage right? lol. Id pull it out until you bomb it. Also if you did bug bomb it. Do one in the car and one or two in the garage to kill any that might have gotten out.

The problem with bug bombs is that it leaves pesticides all over everything. A friend just made a suggestion to me to take the interior apart piece by piece and kill infestations as i find them so it's thoroughly cleaned, rather than bombing it and hoping it killed everything when some could be left over in the deeper parts of the interior.
I guess tonight it's gloves, mask, raid and rubbing alcohol time.

man id make a suit. ductape and everything. i would think a bomb first. you can clean off the nasties later. Bombing first would be to kill a bunch of them and/or make them delerious. Those spider's are fawking nasty. Then id follow up your idea about cleaning piece by piece. It sounds great.

oh gotcha. if i can snag pics. mostly all you'll see is lots of spider webs if i can get pics. most of which i cleaned out last night. but underneath the seats and stuff i'm scared shitless to touch. if it isn't too dark out when i get home i'll snag some pics. otherwise i'm gonna try and clean this SOB out more tonight.

Ozone generator should also kill the spiders. Hell, you could rent two of them. Put one in the garage you got the car in and one in the car. That way you kill all the spiders in the engine bay, brakes, etc.

I dont think I'd use those ozone things in a garage esp. one attached to your house, that'd be like leaving a running car in the garage for a long time, the gases can come into the house and that wouldn't be a good thing

It's basically oxygen turned into ozone. It turns back into oxygen after a fairly short period of time. It's not like a chemical spray which lingers around till you wipe it away.

well yeah but while it's on i wouldn't want to be around it, esp. in the same building if the effects are as stated on that site

Ya, you probably don't want to get too close. Most generators have timers on them apparently. So you can run them for a set amount of time.

You didn't notice the poisonous spiders before you bought it? :D
Seriously, get a professional exterminator. You do NOT want to drive them into your home or really anywhere on the property. Don't take any chances. You could get killed by them.
I don't even know if big bombs work on them. Carrying venom around would have to mean they're pretty tough. You could just make them angry. :D
i'd fricken run. I hate spiders...im glad its too cold up here for them to live.

crazy that i'm so afraid of spiders. if it were scorpions all over i'd probably keep driving :P

Freezing would kill them (or at least freeze em for a while) then you could vaccuum them up.....
Smoke would (should) drive them out of the area.....
A hammer and some gloves...heheh
I can't think of any natural predators for black widows...maybe ants but IDK
I use brake cleaner on all kind of wild life stuff up here that kills them. You could try it on that. I do use it on bee's and spiders up here

HERE! This might help make u a lil more comfortable about workin:
The Black Widow Spider (upper photo) is locally one of the most notorious spiders. Although the female venom is highly virulent, she will attempt to escape rather than attack if disturbed in her web. Webs are often found in hollow places under stones, in sheltered dirt embankments, trash dumps and buildings. Experts say that chances of dying from a black widow bite is the same as that of being struck by lightning. Only on rare occasions is the spider dangerous, and this is when it is pressed against someone's bare skin — the spider is forced into a defensive mode.

YOU BEST GET THE F*C* OUT OF THERE!!!!!!
The Velvet Ant or Cow Killer (lower photo) is actually a wingless female wasp that can inflict a painful sting. Some of our older tobacco farmers will tell you that this velvet ant runs quickly over the ground, and those barefooted tobacco pullers had better beware!

Daddy long leg spiders will get rid of black widow spiders. If you have a house full of daddy long legs you will not have black widows.

Fuck it. I just bug bombed it an hour ago. Going to go air it out at midnight. (that way it wasn't windy and blowing into my neighbor's window lol). I got the black flag DRY formula so it won't stick to my dash and will be easier to clean up.
Now the little fuckers won't bug me. BUG ME! ROFL ROFL no pun intended, harrrrrrr.

Spider spray doesn't work well under the dash and in the vents. That is why I reccomended the ozone generation which also has the added effect of taking out any and all mold.
