Does anyone have experience with daytime running lights on the ZX2? It's the law here to have them, but so many ppl are buying American vehicles to bring over the border now because they are so much cheaper that no1 bothers with them. I recently put in an HID kit and the daytime lights are screwing with the high beams, anyone know how to bypass w/e it is that makes the daytime lights come on?

There was a module on the fender on the ZX2s that had DRLs. Unplug it, I guess.

Ok I'll try that, when the DRLs attempt to run with lights that weren't made for them (these HIDs) there is loud clicking from under the glove box

I unplugged the only plug I could see on the passenger fender and it made no difference

I really have no experience.
But most DRL turn on when the emergency brake is disengaged. I would start snooping around the emergency brake handle and look for some kind of switch. You might find a way to bypass it so that the DRL system thinks the brake is always engaged.
Just a thought for a starting point...

it's a button, you can dis-engage or bypass the button but then you will have that annoying red brake light on in your dash. Will, we have a fuse for our DRL's under the dash, try pulling the fuse and see if that makes a difference

pulled the 10amp DRL fuse, takes care of the clicking but still no high beams

It has got to be something with those fog lights dude, my high beams do not work unless my foglight switch is turned on, you said you got the wiring for the fogs, but no switch right? Try pulling your foglight fuse and see if that helps

I was thinking.... just a random idea...
running the wires from the fogs to the inner turn signals power wire, not the blinker wire... so they are on with your parking lights, there for all the time.
