Cedar Point Meet

When: The weekend of September 12th

Where: East Harbor State Park

Waiting until the 14th to make reservations based upon interest.

What: Meeting at campground friday, hanging out maybe a cruise, bbq
Saturday morning (9ish) go to cedar point for the day, stay as late as you want but im sure most will be there all day. Camp out again saturday night, leave camp ground by one on sunday.

Who: Waterboy9000 (+1 guest, will have one tent)

i think the closest campground near cp is east harbor. at least thats for the west side of cp

Either way, we could all bring some tents and grills. camp out for the night just chill. have a fire, talk shit, and actually meet eachother.

sunday is actually a pretty good day to go. it just sucks that the next day starts the work week.

i was looking and found Camp Sandusky, on the site it says its about ten minutes from cedar point.

i wonder how it is though. i said east harbor because its a state park, which means its nice. ill be going there next weekend. its a very fun place to go.

and i would say its about 20 minutes from the point

at most campgrounds you can only do 2 tents per lot. but thats also like 6 people.....if you share a tent...

if i went my girlfriend would go too. we havent been there in like 3 years. its sad. i havent even seen the new "max air" (the one that is just like it) let alone the new maverick

well on their site it says a extra $10 per tent. and bring whoever you want! just know they're responsible for pitching in for lot rent. and their OWN cedar point ticket. well lets pick a date. i say avoid the weekend of 23/24 because thats when most us kids move into college, and not the following cuz its labor day. maybe the weekend of september 6th

there you go....you know...october is great at cedar point too. its usually zero wait for rides. but it might be some cold nights for camping too. so that kinda rules that out. i was actually going to wait until october just for that reason.

and if your under age...what job would keep you from being able to go out on the weekends? when i had my 'first job' (was actually my 3rd) i could get off when ever i wanted..if i asked a couple weeks ahead of time. (i worked at a bagel shop at that time)

I wouldnt have a problem with work myself, I have about 4 hours of work to do cleaning the shop and as long as it is done sometime before the time they open monday morning im good to go, I just dont know if I want to spend money to go to an amusement park since I never seem to get my moneys worth out of them haha

..you know.. at east harbor its ok to drink alcohol as long as its done discretely and your not obnoxious even though its a state park (where its usually against the law). it says so on their website. they just want to keep it a family environment, which is understandable.

Would it be possible to change the weekend to the next weekend, weekend of Sept. 12? If it stays Sept. 6-7 then there will be no possible way for me to do the camping portion, but I'd still be down for going to the park on that Saturday. Reason being is I have to play in the pep band at school, and there's no way to get out of that (it's part of your grade). So what do you guys think? Able to go to Sept 12-13? Also, Sept 19-20 will not work for the same reason.

if we were to stay at east harbor, the group lot is just an open field. no fires allowed or anything. if we were to stay at a site it would only be about 25 bucks, and we would have our own parking spot and would be able to have a fire...thats if we stayed at east harbor. i dont know about the other campground mentioned, as well as other campgrounds in the area

There is a KOA less than a mile away from Cedar Point.If you have a KOA Kard you get like 40% for the month of September.I have a KOA Kard they did have a place where you could set up to 6 tents at on spot.If wanted i could make the reservations and me or Zxtuner79 could drive the 10 minutes to get the site or sites that day.

Yea, me and my friend would take up my three person tent (you can't always stuff in that last person if you have bags and stuff, lol). I still gotta see if I can go (I'm waiting a week or so to ask, need the right timing).

Alright well the set date is the weekend of September 12th, I believe staying at East Harbor would be for our camping. Each person will be responsible for pitching in for the overall payment of the camp site.

I will wait to add my reservation, because I have to take care of other things before I think about this... now, with that said: I read the OP and I'm down for a cruise (probably not a very long one, unless gas drops out to $2.00, lol), but you guys are going to have to wait for us to show up (we get out of school at three, with a projected 2:45 to 3 hour drive to the park, means we should be there by 7:00, 7:30ish). Now, another question, we may only be able to stay for one night; would that cause any problems?

how would it cost you 100 bucks? the campground will cost you 15 bucks or less. i had 6 people go with me last weekened and it was 15 per couple for 2 nights. then you have CP and thats like 45. so your at 60 bucks or less. then you can just steal food from home.
