Luckily I bailed to a field job before the searches, dogs, and other assorted whoohaa got going.

Yeah a lot of people around the shop got to shake hands and bs, and whatnot. I was scheduled for a job with a window, so had to be there on site before the deal went down. Darn, and I was hoping to get fondled by police and secret service.....:omg:

Aside from local and state reps, I've met Tom Ridge (quickly) and been at a speech with the President.

man they are having a debate here in september or something. So the city is a freaking mess, they are trying to redo all the streets and clean up all the buildings downtown so make everything look good for tv I guess.

Freaking blows.

Where you at ChrisK? The Democratic National Convention is August 25th-28th here in Denver I believe. SUX...gonna be a mess around the metro all weekend.

Oh I see. I'm not sure what's going on down there.....isnt it funny how cities always try to clean up and hide their problems when the president (or candidates) and/or the national media is in town. You'd think we'd want the president or potential presidents to see how shite really is and maybe get the point rather then be all "it's all ok in here, bob".

you would have liked being at my facility yesterday, J....Jim Owens himself came in for an Executive Office Review. kinda cool to see the CEO walkin' around....makin 12 million a year all the while.
