has anyone heard of them. its like a spark plug but instead there is a capacitor inside them to create larger spark. check em' out.

just makes the car run hotter. Motorcraft copper's or platniums do fine.

*install those plugs*

Car says: "Hello, I'm Miss Fire. Nice to meet you."

In other words no one here has tried them...But I don't really blame them. $100 bucks is a lot to pay for 4 plugs.

I was reading DSport the other day and they had installed them on a few project vehicles with some decent results.

No personal experince so take it with a grain-o-salt.

How do those plugs work in a waste spark ignition system?
Remember 1/2 of our plugs fire +to-, and the other 1/2 fire -to+ on the same circuit.
A wide gap on a stock plug would have a similar effect, in conditions that would need it.
You would then get all the coil is capable of, at all times. With varying cylinder pressure , the current and voltage change according to need. With a large gap, it is forced to fire at max all the time.
I don't see a need, especially in our almost hemi head with a centralized spark plug.

I heard of the pulstar plugs. I was wondering if the MSD Blaster Coil + the Bosch Platinum+Iridium plugs would be worth it. I read on the Welcome Thread that bigger wires don't make that much of a difference if any at all. Same with a new coil pack right? So essentially, the plugs is where it's all at?

The stock coil or the MSD are virtually the same . Ford makes a good coil.
Their wires have always been the best.
Avoid the Pulstar plugs, and man, they are expensive!
Avoid Bosch plugs. Use the Motorcraft stock type - double platinum.
Large wires usually have greater insulation, not better performance.

Posted via Mobile Device I boutght some auotlites platinums to replace my old Bosch platinums (that's all the parts store had besides pulsnar) I gapped them and installed!!! They spark 100 times better than my Bosch platinums....car runs smoother I would reccomend avoiding Bosch!!!

I too had put Bosch Plat 4+'s in there. Didn't work so great. Car had a harder time starting in the cold (snow), so yeah. I would stick with the stock plugs. They work just fine.

People seem to think spark plugs are a cure all. They serve one purpose, to ignite the fuel mixture. The stock plugs do an excellent job doing that.
Over the years, I have seen "miracle" spark plugs come and go. They have all gone because they don't do anything to improve the combustion.

Pulstar? I don't need no stinkin' Pulstar. I've got this:

Gimmick plugs, like this one and the +4's from Bosch, are for people who don't understand ignition systems. Just like the Tornado fuel saver is for people that failed science class.

blue - Compared to what? Give me a point file [for modifications] and new plugs of my choice, and I'll gain HP and torque over what they started with.
It is like a political speech - well prepared and only put on TV when it is right. It loses meaning and relevance.
And remember, we have a waste spark ignition.

Alright, I had some spare funds so I bought a set of these. I don't have any hard core numbers, but I'll tell you the car felt as though it ran absolutely no different than it did with brand new motorcraft plugs.

I just pulled them last week and returned them

anyone who has taken a statistics class should know that numbers can be played with. it takes a lot of work and research to actually get good numbers from an experiment.
