and i was wondering if i need to drill a hole in my fuel rail when i put it all in

What year do you have? If it's a '98, there is already a hole in the fuel rail for a fuel pressure gauge, so you wouldn't need to drill anything.

well mines a 99.5 im prolly gunna go and buy a 98 fuel rail then and wat about the sct?

Yes you do need some sort of tune to run nitrous. It needs to be tuned for atleast 91 octane and for whatever shot of nitrous you are going to run. You may also want to retard the timing 1 or 2 degrees per 50 shot you run.

And like Beo already said: If you have a 99.5 find a 98 fuel rail because it has a direct connection for nitrous right on the top.

You will need to tune the car with N0.....like a turbo, it will not tolerate too advanced timing and will need the AFR ratio dialed in via a dyno/wideband run...that is if you want to do it the right way, particularly if you have not strengthened the motor's internals. An SCT flash can be done for your nitrous setup at one of their dealer/tuner sites. If you keep the nitrous shot low, use a wet system, don't have a turbo, and the motor is not too tired, you can run the N0 at WOT for an extra 50HP or so. Still don't be too surprised if the motor lets go after too many of those addictive runs or you discover your clutch won't support the "go juice" anymore and just slips.

Not really. Recommended? Yes. Required? No not with a small 50-65 shot

True. 100% true, but if you already have a program then get a tune. Obviously we will all recommend one too.

well good then my new sct will do me some good so i just wanna retard the timing 1 or 2 every 50 shot i only wanna run like 75 max on stock internals what should i do for internals on higher shot besides pistons and rods

Im doing a 50 shot as well.

I believe colder plugs gaped right, i have no idea what the gap is.

I wonder why Ford changed fuel rails. Sorry for the derailment but is the 98 fuel rail necessary for nitrous?

No but its easier, im drilling a hole in the throttle body coupler for the intake for my line.

Just to make things clear, that is "spark timing" not cam timing.

That is all.

My take on the '98 fuel rail is that when it was in its first production years they tested the fuel pressure via this schreader valve but after sometime of testing they didn't have to worry about it, so they took out the schraeder valve.

I could be wrong but thats me little theory.
