Hm...I have one. I have two actually. One with a blown diff for $225 shipped (a new diff from Ford is $115 so it's; still under $350 for a trans). IT ONLY HAS 41k on it. Blown diff, not hard to replace.

Dang, where were you guys hiding when my tranny went out... I had to get one on ebay with almost twice as many miles as my car...
Not meaning to hijack this guy's thread, but if any of you guys want to sell me a manual transmission, too, once this guy is taken care of, PLEASE let me know. I need ALL parts for a 5spd swap, too, if possible. My automatic is dying, I believe. Thanks!

Kage, my offer stands for you too bro. You are about 3 hours from me, I'd be willing to meet half way for a few bucks in gas to make it even cheaper for you. I might be able to get some swap parts, too.

The new diff won't be the only thing you need. You also have to replace the input/output shaft nuts and I think they are about $40 a set. There is also the chance a blown diff caused damage to the transmission that won't be apparent until it is installed and running.

He is phantom gripping anyways so he'll need that with any tranny he buys. Btw, the one on my trans now was re-used and still working fine. If I were him I would buy new ones like you recommended, just saying I guess it can be re-used if you are careful enough. We were stretched on time though so what we did was correct for the situation.

If they fall off, and they do, ask Brian, they can cause much more damage. If you are going to spend $300 on a PG and $250 on a tranny, spend $40 on the nuts.

The nuts on mine look like someone hit them with a hammer one time. If you take your time, which we didn't have and is neither of our faults, you can salvage them. I would recommend getting nuts also, but if you are going to get evicted from your apartment and lose your job due to no car, or buy new nuts, you CAN save them.

If you re-use them Loc-tite them. But, don't re-use them unless you really have to. If the situation is that dire then you definitly shouldn't re-use them because the car will leave you stranded and you'll lose that job and apartment anyway.
