ZX2 S/R computer question

On the S/R's where those computers install from Ford or did they come in a box? I saw one on ebay and said it came from Ford in a box and that they were not install in the cars themselves. Is this right? The response I got was "NGP0 ECU's were only available from ford racing, they never came in the S/R zx2's."

NGP0 came in the first year S/R's. (1999).

Either way, I got my NGP0 from ford racing and yes it came in a box.

The 2000 SR's had two different PCM's depending on what part of the country you lived.

CWQ3 for 45 state legal, and NGPO for the FFRP catalog and those other states with emmisions requirements.

I didn't know that they were based on region, what was the choice based on?

XHG3 was 50 state emissions legal, so they showed up primarily in Cali. CWQ3 everywhere else.

Yeah, I knew the codes. Just did not know that you could get the NPGO from the dealer in a box. Just sounded off when I heard it

California and some of the northeast states, NY, Mass, CT etc. were the emission states.
