I didn't see one so here it is. I just got done watching the USA beat France in the 4 X 100 relay and wow. It was the greatest race ever. France said they were going to smash the Americans. It's always good to see us shut up shit talkers and it's especially great to see it done to the French. This has started out to be an awesome Olympics!

No doubt, I stood up in my living room for the last 25 meters of that race. I was going as crazy as I could without waking anyone up. I watched the last half of the basketball game this morning and that was good too. I've been watching most of it nonstop. Good stuff.

Nothing ?? Is Leveaux brain dead ?? Did he bash his head on the end of the pool ?? The French smashed the world record set 24 hours before by almost 4 seconds and they still got beat.

Jason Lezak swam the fastest 100 meters in history (although it doesn't count as an individual record because it wasn't the 1st leg) at an incredible 46.06. sec. (Australia's Eamon Sullivan broke the individual record by swimming the leadoff leg in 47.24 sec.)

When you're the world-record holder but you cannot hold a lead in your specialty, that's not good. When that happens after you've talked smack, that's worse. At least it took a superhuman swim to beat Bernard.

Afterward I asked the French technical team director, Claude Fauquet, about Bernard's prediction.

Nothing ??? When someone destroys a world record and still gets beat that is more than nothing, that is incredible. The French need to revise both their language and their attitude.

Bernard was right, someone was going to get 'smashed'. Bernard and the French team got smashed.

I cant believe that the 4 top finishers in the 4x100 all broke the current record. Could you imagine that, breaking the world record and still coming in the 4th? Thats not even enough to medal!

I hate not getting to watch the olympics live. I love watching Phelps swim since he just seems born to do so. Beach volleyball is also something I love watching, so I'm glad to hear they made a wicked comeback.

Probably 2 or 3, but the IOC isn't going to do anything about it until after the Olympics are over, if at all. Probably 2 or 3 years down the road (similar to past doping cases) something might happen.

I think at least one of them is. It wouldn't be that big of a deal except that the Chinese government issued them their passports... supposedly the most accurate form of identification.

Did anyone watch the BMX Racing??? I used to be a pro bmx racer in the ABA(American Bicycle Asosiation) and wondered wat you guys thought. Overall i like the course but sad to see Mike Day didn't win. I guess silver is still nice.

In the end how much does politics really matter ?? the world will remember th high points, Bolt and his Jamaican teamates winning a bunch of track gold medals, the US swim team, in particular Lezak beating the French loudmouth, Bernard, the US women's soccer team winning 1-0 in overtime, the basketball teams, etc. and many great performances from people around the world.

If the Chinese medals are tainted, it isn't going to distract from the greatness of others.

I'm happy the South Koreans upset the Cubans 3-2 (http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/summer08/baseball/recap?gameId=836) for the baseball gold. The Cubans are becoming the crybabies of the Olympics.
