JVC Headunit (http://www.slickdeals.net/permadeal/13504/JVC-Car-HD-Receiver-or-Dual-Brand-Receiver-plus-Installation-Gear-and-Guide-37-after-50MIR)
I went ahead and got one. My Premier is dying! 38 shipped after rebate isn't a bad deal at all.

If this wasn't a MIR I would bite for a cheap replacement. The fact I actually have to be un-lazy and mail something in makes this a no go for me.

If you buy two, be sure to use two different addresses. It's a limitation on the rebate.

JVC by far.
Dual is a generic, lowest possible end-brand. Pepboys sells them.

Got mine installed. Sounds really good. Looks awesome as well. Going to spend some time with the manual learning how to tune it though. The menu system isn't very intuitive.

I got everything to check out. For the head unit, and U shaped tools and shipping it is $91.47.
But I don't know how to install this thing...lol where can I get a harness? They don't have them there.
But yeah I bought the head unit and removal tools, Figure its about time I put one in my car, Ive had the face plate thing form the junk yard for a year now.

the harnesses can be purchased at wal mart for less than $10 for the non premium sound (premium sound harnesses are a couple of dollars more).
At autozone, the harnesses are about $12 non ps and $18 w ps.
Don't worry about the install, the wires are all labeled making it easy to do.
So you have to buy the u shaped tool to get the deal?

the discount is taken at a later time. The promo code needs to be entered in the comments box. The removal tools are part of the install kit they offer. The discount for my order appeared on the statement the next day.

Well you have to spend $100.00 to get $20 off using the 3A825 code. So I needed something to take me from $99.99 to go over $100. So I figured I would need the tool. But no you dont have to buy the tool (Its $5) you can buy anything to put you above $100.

I just bought some female connectors for $.50. The deal gives you the "u-shaped" tools for free.

Does it play burnt CDs ok? I really need something other than the stock sixer, but I mainly listen to burnt cds...

I seem to remember my brother having removed his OEM stereo/AC unit with a coat hangar. granted, this was like five years ago. could have changed the ends, I'm not sure.
