One of my buddies has an Esort wagon in his backyard and I was wondering what years can will the RSB fit our cars? Also would I need to or should I do anything else when I put the RSB on?

Alright, sorry for being an idiot but would 1069 and 1073 be the correct item numbers on Zxtuner?

1073 is right, if you don't want to use the stockers. The aftermarket bolts are thicker though and I'm using them. 1069 is for a 13mm rear bar, not a 21mm. You could drill them out but I think somewhere else may make the right 21mm ones. BlackEscortGT is looking for the D-bushings also, again you can use stockers off the wagon until you find aftermarket ones

Yeah so another stupid question. How do take the RSB off?

Start at the links on the sides. You might need to cut the bolts off depending on how long they've been on there. Then after you have those loose take of the frame mount brackets off. Then reverse your steps installing the new one.

I saw that some have a 21mm RSB on their car. Did they offer different sizes on the EGT's? I'm thinking about putting the 19mm on, but if a 21mm can be had I might wait.

It came on EGT's and second gen wagons, some people say it's overkill though

But what can it hurt??? overkill isnt always a bad thing.

It's not always good either, does it really help traction to be on 3 wheels? ZX2fast made a comment on this lately

Canuck, Howd you get them to fit the sttock brackets? Did you bend them?

personally, i'd be worried about how easily the back end would break loose. if i could find a 17mm sway bar i'd be happy.

21mm can cause more oversteer than desired im quite content with my 19mm.

So what size RSB would a 1997 Escort wagon have? 19mm or 21mm?

19mm, or it's not worth switching to the same size.
