Interesting idea, genetically alter E.Coli to excrete a diesel fuel like hydrocarbon. I just hope some environemntal or religious group doesn't decide to protest the use of genetically altered bacteria.

So raising a culture in the tank of a diesel automobile could provide limitless fuel, providing they poop more than you use. I would need to know the exact amount of diesel poo, or as I shall refer to it DP, to volume of the bacteria.

It could be worthwhile to harvest them and keep whole colonies alive in random tanks, and then sell them as miraculous "none fill up vehicles". I'm sure a mint could be made.

However, the bacteria could be harmful if it adapted, and also any kind of sustenance they would need would need to be taken into thought.


All in all I give the idea 9 out of 10 for originality, 7 out of 10 for practicality, and 14 out of ten for the word poop.

I don't want to bother with the math, but that adds up to 10 out of 10 when you do the mathimacations. . . right?

That is officially the dumbest post you've ever made :). Let's see... you start off with a 350hp, 400tq truck, chip it so it’s over 500hp, 500tq, add a huge exhaust, bump the boost, open the waste gate, and get 1000tq, on a stock engine. Oh yah, no power there. You should go for a ride in some of the trucks my bro builds at his diesel shop. It's pretty breathe taking. Enjoy that vid above of the 11 second F350...
