I have gauge overlays that light up. I recently noticed there is a short in them because they sometimes do not turn on and other times they do. I think i found the location of the short its like 2 inches from the switch cuz when the lights dont turn on i wiggle it there and they work. Anyway to fix this short??

Thanks

Just buy new gauge faces. Theyre cheap on ebay. Mine shorted out on me due to a wire just chillin in the wrong place.

buy a new switch, the inverters go bad very often.

where do you recommend buying a switch from? there is no real on/off switch, i have it spliced into my factory lights so they turn on when i turn my lights on

Not a switch, the power inverter. I've had mine ($20 eBay white face gauges) for 5 years with no problems, but I've heard of a lot of people who had them fail.

THIS is the one you need. $3.90 + 6.00 shipping. :)

There should already be one on the gauge faces. Just unplug it from the gauge overlay and run the wiring down to the dimmer switch and replace that connection too. It's basically just replacing the whole thing, nothing more complicated than that.
