Reworked my cluster

blue numerals... kinda cool.. pix didnt turn out great but looks really cool at night need to get leds to make em brighter though.. looks different than the stk one with green think i may make teh s/r clusters in em now red numbers what ya think? gotta do the needles next

took the cluster apart cleaned the green film off the back and used a blue stained glass translucent paint on it ..used a few too many coats next time ill just use 2 coats then just reassebled.. thought about doint the speedo liek the tach do blue up to say 75 thdn red the rest of the way kinda like a redline.. I took a lota pics while i was doin it may put em up later.

Definitely make a how to. I was wondering if there was a way to just change the color of the gages. May just make them clear and change to different color bulbs.

i remember on the old forum there was something like this but instead of paint they scraped off the green and then used a differnt color sharpie.

also how do u get ur speed back to perfect, i just got a sr cluster and i had to take the needle off to fix the miles and now im 5 mph off

They used lighting gels for Strobes/Lighting for staging and pictures.

I did it. I paced my friend at 70 and slapped the needle on. It's dead on cuz later I was next to one of the newer Civics with the LCD speedo and so I paced them and compared my needle to their readout it was dead on.

You could also just have the car at idle and put the needle on...

by recaliberate do you mean the ecu for perfomance or to use 150 mph overlays?? if overlays .. no .. rob makes a box for the speedo..BUT it throws off the odometer.. the differnece is in the speedo head itself.. i think cyberman was right when he said it was in teh windings of the motor.

i got some ford truck clusters at goodwill 5.99 each took one apart and cut the 120,140,160out with a pair of scissors and glued them on and cut the numbers behind out so so they light up.
