DUDE-we used to do that shite when we lived in the desert as kids. Me and my lil' bro would catch scorpions and spiders and drop them in 5 gal buckets and ice tea/gallon jars and watch them kill each other. Those wierd tailless scorpion/spider things with the big teeth would always win though....I caught one that was super evil and my brother kept saying it wasn't fair 'cause it ate everything else. AWESOME, though definitely pointless.

This site rocks.. there are some decent upsets in there! :D The beetle/scorpion was suprising to me, i figured for sure the scorpion would sting the beetle a few times and it would be over. That beetle was a bad ass!

...bugs are animals, dogs are animals. i see the argument. hell, we are animals. we will pay to see ufc and boxing matches, will watch bug fights, but when furry animals fight, OMG STOP THE PRESS. people care more for other animals than for our own species. it's pretty pathetic.

Conflict is part of nature. I doubt they tortured and beat the bugs to get them to fight (like they do with dogs). Honestly, the bugs are probably well fed and even (shudder) babied and pampered as are prizefighters of all species.
