Ok so there have been some questions and I mad ethis thread before , so..

This is the PS resivoir, it has two clamps to remove the lines, and 2 10mm bolts to remove it. Follow the lines up the rail and remove all the 10mm fastners holding the hard lines from the resivour to the rack..

Also remove the PS cooler, it has 3 10mm bolts holding it to the radiator support

Next thing is to remove the belt and tensioner, To remove the power steering pump. The probelem most people have is that they cannot get the hose fitting off on the bottom of the pump.. 4 10mm bolts holding it..

Th easiest way without fighting it is to take out the three bolts and wrench out the last one like so, disconnect the line up top..

Next you want to take off the outer tie rods, Remove the cotter key and use a 17mm to knock the caslte nut off, you may need a picke fork.

Under the colum there is a shroud you can take off to help get to the PS lins at the neck of the rack and also remove the 12mm pinch bolt.

Now there are the brackets a couple 12mm bolts on each

With the lines, brackets and pinch bolt off and it being disconected from the colume you can pull it out the driver side of the car,
Re insert manual rack the same way

Install the brackets,, When buing a rack you should get the brackets and rubbers, The left side bracket and rubber are the same from a manual to power, the right side is different but can be bent to be used

More pics of the pinch bolts someone tried saying they were different from manual to power and that the stock zx2 one doesnt work, well it does,

After you reinstall the pinch bolt, tie rods and brackets you are ready to look at the pile of parts you lost..

They are different, it depends on where you take the joint from. I found it easier to keep the manual rack joint than the P/S rack joint. Either way, if you keep the P/S joint nearest the rack you'll need the P/S pinch bolt for the column and vice versa.

This is the pinch bolt from the P/S rack to the column.

This is the pinch bolt from the M/S rack to the column, as you can see it's about an inch longer.

So, if you keep the joint from the manual rack you'll need the above pinch bolt for it to work, otherwise it's really not long enough. Going the otherway, if you swap out the joint on the M/S rack with the P/S joint you can keep your stock pinch bolt. The manual setup will be too long and won't fit properly.
