So I got the tranny rebuilt, put it back in..........and the little bastard still drives like crap.

At first the thing would only drive the way it did the night the tranny quit. Start out in manual low, then shift up to drive once it was rolling. I started backtracking the wiring, looking at the ecm and such. When I had it in overdrive and touched some of the wires at the ecm it kicked into drive. Playing with it some more it seems it will drive if I leave the ecm harness loose in the ecm, but if I tighten it down all the way it quites working in OD..........and even when it's working it seems like it only shifts one time while driving.

Is my ecm fried or what???:something:

i would check all the connections and everything, make sure that they are good and clean. check for any breaks in the wires.
i personally dont know much bout ATX, im just tryin to help out a fellow tuner a tit bit.

Any chance you have the wrong computer in there?
Like one for a manual tranny?
Even a correct one may be puked.
Can you get a test replacement?

No it's the right one. The cat who rebuilt my tranny works at a Ford dealership and checked it for me. He wants to check the shift position sensor (talked to him since posting). Other then that, I'm down to checking every wire for shorts and for correct positon I guess.............sucks that there are a crapload of wires. I know only a few are for the tranny, but I don't trust anything on this car. It has been a nightmare since I first realized it had problems.....while looking at/repairing one I notice two. Then three. So on......( was going to make a list but figured no one had the time to read it).
