when I see one.. Since I got rid of the s2000 I have mostly been enjoying the bikes, and havent really had the itch for a new shiny thing. I was in the valley visiting my grandfather with my dad. As we were leaving, he mentioned that this Mercedes dealer had this E550 for around $40k. Cool, I wouldnt mind test driving one of those babys.. :wiz:

Well, it was actually already sold, but they had something else that looked interesting..

A 2007 SL550 with 7500 miles on it. One 20 minute test drive later and I was in love. KBB is around $80k i think, and they wanted $75k. I ended up paying just under $70,000 out the door. :partynanas:

The bad part: I was on the Beemer, and my dad came with his brother. Since Im the only one with a MC license, I got stuck riding home and have to wait to pick up the car next weekend. :?

I sure hope the wife doesnt see this before I get home... :violin::rofl:

LOL, the payments right now are around a grand a month since i put $15k down, but it will be paid off in a year or so..

Im an Account Executive for an IBM reseller. I sell servers/storage/SANs/etc to big companies. Sounds boring, eh?

You sell your servers to any Credit Unions that run a software called Symitar? ;)

Yeah insurance is another thing entirely.. Im still afraid to even call the, but I suppose I should..

And its under warranty for 3 more years, and doesnt need any maintenance for 20,000 miles. It even getts 22mpg!

My boss has a Mercedes (they have several) that is in the shop quite often. When it is, it's never quick because a lot of the parts have to be ordered from Germany. :D

Seriously, my ZX2 is 10 times as reliable as some of the Benz I've seen and for a tiny fraction of the cost.

It was incredible for the 20 minute test drive.. There is ZERO body roll around corners, its accelerates like a dream, stops gracefully, and put a smile on my face from the moment I sat down.

Ooh side mirror.. Side note, the mirror auto adjusts along with the steering wheel and seat to one of 3 programmable memories. It can even adjust the mirror when you pop it into reverse.

Yeah, I can just smack the shifter left or right to go up or down a gear. It seems to be more trouble than its worth though, because of the 7 gears.

Ooh, and I just found out I can put the top down from the remote. Sweet! Its even got 2 batteries (one dedicated starter and one for acc), so I can never kiill it.
