Did Ford finish out the 99 S/R's or were the shopped out?

still trying to smog my 99, called local Ford dealer to see if they could smog it...NO I gotta prove to em that the Roush intake is stock. Parts dept said ALL 99's used same intake...:angry:
So did Roush do the S/R conversion or just supply some parts...If they didn't do the build...who did???
I can't yet find anything.
Anyone out there with a Calif 99 S/R with any documentation to support the engine mods????
If I can't find the info I gotta put the WRONG intake on to pass smog...And I DON'T have one!!!!!

To find a dealer today that knows what is an SR would be rare.

Most places have no clue what a ZX2 is.. I always get blank stares from people.. There is one tire shop I know of where they know what the heck a ZX2 is.. They call it the racescort.

Yep. I also have to watch when I get parts. I can't count the number of times I've received "regular" Escort or Focus parts that don't work.

I began asking for Contour parts so they look up the right engine. :D

first time I bought my FR spark plug wires, they gave me focus wires... dumbasses. and everytime I say "Ford ZX2" they go "ho yeah a focus"...

If you work in an auto parts store, you should AT LEAST be able to identify most if not all cars on the road. I can and I don't even work in the auto industry in any capacity.

the escort was discontinued in 2001 and my title still says Escort ZX2 on my 03's title. insurance calls it an Escort.

the cops around here have no idea what it is its funny as hell, when they pull me over & ask for my liscence and insurance they ask if it is the B2200 or the escort. my reply its a ZX2 officer. his reply oh a focus :puke:

I called Ford today and thy will be (I hope) sending me the build sheet for my car. :)

However I think time is running out for me as the temporary permit that I can't renew runs out the end of April.....And just to make my day the good ol CEL came on.. When I stopped at a stop light there was a noise coming from the back of the car that sounded like a tray of small pebbles being slowly rocked back and forth.....I assume ^%^&$%$ fuel pump is dying and threw a code. I don't have a code reader so I am just guessing here.
I think I am looking for a stock intake to get me passed....but now I have to fix the fuel pump..oh boy more $$$ I don't have...

But the ford racing catalog has all those parts in them, and they say OEM equipment on the S/R
