Yup, one bamf. Its crazy 1500hp+ is not so uncommon anymore.
Ehh its cool you make power but all you are typically is a dyno queen. It's pretty hard to get that much power done to the ground.

Too bad it's not a street legal 1600hp the hard part is hitting 1600 while maintaining streeability

I'll belive it when you show me video proof.
I've seen my fair share of 1000+ hp Supras not break into 11's.

But that car looked like it could get it's power to the ground.

Gotta love chevy power + a procharger. But I'd rather see a mean 500hp streetable car then a 1600+ drag car.

the guy across the street from me runs a camaro with about 1400hp. It uses a massive shot of nitrous to hit the 1400 though. The engine, N/A makes ~800 IIRC.

Nitrous is a very good way to keep it streetable. Still have to have a wicked engine build. Procharger is about the best way as long as you stay out of boost. Plenty of 1K hp cars street driven with prochargers.

I don't care what you say, dyno queen or not, that is a shit load of power to make from an engine that isn't mega race prepped. That fan thing was kind of cool. LoL It didn't want to be on those rollers though.

If that's the Mad Man that I think it is (from Louisiana), the guy builds race car chassis for a living, he used to work for Thunder Racing before going out on his own. I'd be willing to bet that that car will hook at the track, and it wouldn't surprise me if it still saw some street duty too. You'd be amazed with what you can get away with in the LA-MS-AL area.
And yeah, a Supra is not a great comparison. There's an old joke: what do 600-hp and 800-hp Supras have in common?
12-second timeslips.
