Just call them knobs or controls. :D
Are you using the cubby below?
Maybe get an armrest and locate them in there.
Glove box is an option but probably a hassle.
You'll want to keep them within reach where ever you choose to put them.
im thinking of putting them here and plugging the vent and rapping the whole piece in black suede
marked in the red is where im thinking

the only place it *should* be easy is where the cubby is.

someone did an earlier 4 door with the knobs in the cubby. i think thats the only place you're gonna reach, those hoses for the venting selector aren't very long

Have fun with the knob that controls the temp. Its a cable. I made a new cable when I did it in my S/R but it was a PITA.
Ignore the crappy upholstery job... I was still new to that kind of work and didnt have a good machine at the time.

Incorporate a touch creen module from another car and then hook up everything to lil electronic shit like servo motors and crap HAHA.
okay maybe i dont wanna go that far with it lol how hard was it to redo the cable for the temp

Bah, that was almost 2 years ago.
I used wire from a hobby store for scale model airplanes. You also need to get crimp on weights like you would use for fishing.
Pull / get a spare cable piece and pull it apart and see how its all made. Its 1 cable that goes and spins around with the ends having the crimped on pieces. You will find from that the approx size cable you need, along with getting the fishing weights slightly larger so you can grind / file the weights down so they are similar in shape to the crimped on OEM pieces. You will have to determine the length you need to increase it and then I believe double it. I cant remember if the cable goes all the way back or not.
Just pull it all apart and you will see. You will also need new tubing to put in for guiding the cable.
sweet doesnt sound to bad i think ill work out in the end

My head unit was at too much of an angle and jamed into the top of the computer. Too much wiring back there also between the computer stuff, head unit, and all the temp stuff. Ended up frying my $450 Clarion headunit... cause I jammed it in there... it was old anyway by then and was only going for $275 but still LOL.
Sold it to a friend cheap and he got it fixed for $100.
my whole reason for this thread is cause im molding in a 7 inch screen in the dash

Everything is real dusty from being in the shed with the mower but... Heres a pic of what I did. I cut apart a spare Metra that I had, took apart a monitor from a flip down unit, took the front cover and glued the top to the Metra and stood the bottom up around 1.25" from the bottom to tilt the screen upwards so its easier to see, stretched material, and glassed over it.
