I realize this is my fault but it still pisses me off, I'm going to try my best to not cuss in this thread. I stopped to get gas for my bike and for whatever reason the next time I went to look for my wallet I didn't have it. I called the gas station and they said no one turned it in. This isn't exactly the best part of Kansas City that I lost it in either.

Navy Federal bank card
UMB check card
Bank of America credit card
Best Buy credit car
Military ID
Drivers license
Motorcycle license
SS card
Storage unit number and gate code
Spare key to said storage unit
$50-$100 cash
Check stub to my bank account
2 money orders for a total of $60

I swear, if something bad is going to happen to anyone it's going to happen to me. I can't wait to call all these places in the morning and cancel all my cards and try and change account numbers. If I'm lucky I'll pass by this place in the morning on the bike and find it on the side of the road.

Ohhhh, that is a sucky feeling.

I have never actually lost my purse, but I've had a few times where I've 'misplaced' it for a few days.....and it's just a frightening feeling.

I always feel so violated thinking about someone going through my wallet and possibly having acess to my money/information/identity.

Hopefully you either find it on the side of the road, or it's lost somewhere and nobody has/will find it.

I hope you find your wallet and or get everything straightened out. I lost my wallet with just as much as you had in it when I was snowboarding. Luckily it turned up in lost and found with everything it it. I hope the same happens for you.

When you get your new cards, make photocopies of all of your cards, front AND back so they'll be easy to cancel if it happens again. ;)

Never mind that he had his ssn on his military id anyway...

Make sure you change that key to that storage unit.

Damn dude that sucks.. I did the same thing. License gone, SS card gone, a few gift cards and some cash, gone. No CCs luckily. I feel you though.

It was a 50 dollar wallet. :(

Important question: Did you lose the pants that the wallet was in?

No, I didn't anyways. I took my pants off at basketball practice(obviously) and it fell out. I didn't realize till I got home and some one from the modified team had stolen it.

I didn't expect this to get so many replies. Either way, I went back to check and nothing came up. Like EP said, don't matter if my SS card was in there when I carry my military ID everywhere. It has my social right on the back. I had my SS card with me because I have been applying for a lot of jobs lately and they all ask for it.

I called my out of state banks and closed all my accounts and opened new ones. Did the same thing with my in state account. Canceled all my cards and re-ordered new ones. I had a $50 money order from a member on TZX2 that I had call me so he could go make a stop payment on the M/O in case whoever has my wallet tried to cash it. The other M/O was only ten bucks so I didn't worry about it.

I almost had my bike impounded when I got pulled over with no ID, no tag and no way to prove I was the person who's name was on bikes paperwork.

Worst that's happened to my wallet is it's been though the washer a couple times... It sucks, but not as big of a deal as having it stolen. Most everything can dry out except maybe something paper would be demolished...

Why so many credit cards? I don't see the need for more than one... I just have a debit card and it works fine for me. I won't get a CC until I absolutely need it.

Which could technically be never if you're smart with your finances...

Sorry to hear about the wallet man. I know when I lost mine once, it was lame. had to wait for new cards in the mail, lost the cash (not much, and was the last time I ever put money in my wallet), lost my ID's and pics.

That's not the best feeling in the world. The worst part about it is I bought a new wallet and I had $6, military ID and both drivers licenses in it and I lost that one too. Two wallets in two days. I have had an 18 year streak of never losing anything till 3 days ago.

that sucks again. Maybe it is time to consider something with a tether, especially if you ride a bike.:wiggle:
