It is a breather mod. For a full bolt on car it is great. It will allow the car to breathe crazy good, and like Frost said, GREAT throttle response.

The only thing you need to make this work is a TB gasket, which he offers for an extra $10.

I got 6 of them done, but they need to be assembled, and I need to re-order the screws. Some jackass went through my tool box at work and snagged them. If I knew who did it I'd write them up tomarrow for going through my box.
Anyway, the good news is that I went ahead and removed the step for everyone.
The badish news is that I couldn't use one of the TB's because I couldn't take it apart because of rust. I'm pretty sure it was one of the ones zx2frost sent me. The tb's he sent me were pretty thrashed.

yeah, i'd reccomend just a dab of rtv or something like that to seal the thread. no biggie.

you can install it without the gasket if you're just going to slap it on, otherwise if you want to grind your intake out to match the tb you'll want the gasket.

I am just back from holidays. The TB looks great and arrived no problem.

But I owe you an apology.

The long delay in receiving the TB was a consequence of my paying late, over a month AFTER the TB was ordered, back in OCT of 2007. Had I paid you promptly after ordering it, I would have got the one you had waiting for me. You did say you had only one left. As it turned out, I think you sold it to someone else instead, and given the delay in receiving my funds, that seems fair business practice.

I only discovered this after I reviewed all our transactions by email.

I regret my prior remarks and any casting doubt upon the way you conducted things. I am sorry.
