I riced it out by molding combat sides / rear on... with a 03 front. Then painted it yellow with blue bottom... real gay LOL.

Needless to say, no molding and car has been in junkyard for around a year.

Yea, sold everything but the engine, trans, XHG3, front seats, and all struts except front left which was bent 2x in the accident.

Really isnt much else S/R after that. Ripped the seams apart on the leather boot and made templates and a suede boot.

Work at Beshore & Koller in Manchester as a Painter, also have a 2nd job doing body work at an older guys shop. So basically I have no life. 70-80hrs a week between the 2, minus hrs to sleep, eat and shower I and I wonder how I still have a GF.

The shop is down in the incubator. They pay 8.50 an hour, and sell their defect boards at a discount to employees. They are located in the same complex as the old nutshell records, liberty electronics, the new powder coating shop, and franklin bronze.

Hate to tell you but 4:10 is the final drive of all mtx ZX2s... you just have a base model. Do you have cassette?

P.S. There is no "out back" in a zx2 as far as driveline goes, so get out of the habit of saying "gear ratio x.xx out back"... This isn't a RWD vehicle.

1. Because when talking gears it's written 4.10s with a "." and not ":"
2. So that lead me to think subs
3. It's fwd so I was thinking subs again
4. I could care less what the gear ratio on the zx2 is lol

Full disclosure: I live in NJ.

However: Very close to NewHope and lived in Philly as a kid. Also self-employed and do work in PA, both Philly and the 'burbs.

Recently came into a 2002 Zx2: black, 5-speed, lots of options. Nice surprise, nice car. About 160K miles and easily gets 30mpg while still being peppy. Doesn't leak anything, stops well, shifts well and is a fun ride. Suspension is a bit cushy for a 'sporty' car. Some odds and ends to have fixed and really need a rear bumper.

I had a 2008 gti before getting married. I had a bov on it. I loved the boost and the noise(even though it got annoying sometimes in traffic). But I've had my zx2 since 2003 I think. Since getting rid of the gti, I've designed I think 4 different turbo setups for the zx2 in solidworks that all mount to the stock zx2 downpipe. I'm not sure which I am going with yet. But my manifold will be done, sans turbo mounting flange, here shortly(around christmas I think). I've been sort of busy otherwise.

It's Steve here, from the Easton/Allentown/Bethlehem area. Currently reside in Riegelsville (cookie if you know where that is, haha) I drive a '98 manual, some black metallic color and black rims, with some bolt ons. I rip around all the time and have never seen any of you from Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown or Reading. And even though my car is on it's last legs, I'd do a Carlisle show. I'd poop meself seeing that many ZX2s in one area at one time. Pennsylvania love!

Welcome Steve, I'll be at the All-Ford-Nationals show @ Carlisle, I have the only ZX2 that has consistently shown up since 2008.

Don't get overly excited, the largest turnout of ZX2's for the All-Ford Show was last year (I think there were eight total that were shown). The focus guys normally show up with about 60 cars. Normally mine is the only ZX2 at the show.:sad: I would welcome the company of another one on the show field.

You live in PA, there is a way to register it so it is permanently exempt from emissions testing. PA only allows one exemption for failed emissions. I will be at all-ford Sat and Sun, I have to work till 9pm Fri.

and rear bumper cover.
the junkyard near my house doesn't have any.
i live near selinsgrove pa so i'm dead central pa.
i'd travel to harrisburg, williamsport, or any surrounding areas 40/50 miles give or take to pick one up if anyone knows of any yards where i could find one.
learned a lot from this site and it proved to me i could work on my car and do it right. always thankful for teamzx2. i dont post often because i dont have internet at my house but i def. check this everytime i have a problem and i always find an answer.

I've had my '98 ZX2 5-speed for about 6 years now. 187k on the odometer, 35k on the engine that I just put in a few days ago. She's green (factory), black (POR-15 on previously rusting areas), and gray (DPLF epoxy primer/surfacer/sealer on other problem areas). An entire herd of deer have ran into her (one of which happened to smash my fender while it was parked...). That's about all for old faithful. Not pretty, but 99.99% bullet-proof.

Another toy that I have is a '07 ninja 250r sport bike...

I'm looking to buy another ZX2 in a little nicer shape than mine as a project car...

I also just bought a miller 211 mig welder. I've taken college level courses in gmaw/tmaw and have a bit of experience. I'd be willing to help out locals needing some welding if needed. (sorry, no aluminum yet! I don't have the funds to buy an aluminum spool-gun for my 211 yet)
