No I dont mean the condoms you perverts!!!
So I just did a sweep on my work comp and it said it that there are 2 Issues and 8 items detected..
Trojan/Win32/Cefyns.A
and
TrojanDropper:Win32/Cefyns.A
and of course it wont let me copy and paste the items but those are the issues.
Anyone have any general knowledge abotu that?
It wont let me get rid of any of it!

Sometimes the viruses are embeded in files that will require you to boot your computer in safe mode, etc. to get rid of them b/c you can't change the files in a regular boot. There is a website I used to go to that had a library of all the known malicious codes and how to get rid of them, but I can't remember it right now. If I find it, I'll post it up for you.

Stop looking at porn, and you won't get the trojans, lol....
BTW, those trojans are going around right now. I haven't gotten them, but 3 people at work has gotten them, and couldn't get rid of them. Watch symantec.com. They'll come out with a removal tool soon for them.

Do you get popups for some antivirus progam as well (which is totally bogus don't click it)? I had one of those I think...used Live Onecare to get them off the pc. Symantec missed them. Repeatedly.

I actually did have one that came up. and I went to click off of it and clicked the back button to go to the page that i was at and some screen came up looking like it was d.l.ing something and i hurry up adn x'ed it out. it has happened twice now.

Yeah don't install it. I just removed both of the trojans I had and so far I haven't had any repeats.
If you don't want to change antivirus, you can download the courtesy scan from windows live one care and it will find them (I don't know if it will quarantine, but then you could search for the full file name and delete the file it is in.......I just downloaded onecare and used it to find the virus and quarantine, then removed the virus, then removed onecare since we are supposed to use Symantec/it's a work issued laptop:)) (edit-live onecare gives you a trial period)

Use the search function to find them and delete the buggers....
If the windows one found them, did it put them in quarantine? If so, you can go to the quarantine and delete them...

when i get to work monday I will have to check and see if they are quarntined.
sk00ter walked me threw the Mcafee virus scan also but it didnt really tell me anythign when it was finished but it was also time for me to go so I will have to check up on them when i get back there.
The stupid things arent doing anything except when i get on google and click links they send me to MSN searck or come up with some shit like http:// <A> or something like that. it gets annoying when you are searching things! i dont think it does it for cuil.com though.

Yeah the virus is designed to get you to buy their bogus antivirus program if it's the same one I had. Once it is installed on your computer....well, from what I read-you just don't want download it.

are you talking about the Antivirus XP 2008? i had gotten that on my computer,it changed my desktop to this biohard red background saying my comptuer was infected and it would actually block any website that had any mention of spyware or adware removal. went in on safe more, followed steps i had found for a manual removal...didn't work, had to reformat my whole freaking computer.i did NOT download the software they were trying to make me download and it still fucked it all up.
