good idea???

i currently putting back some money in the hopes of buying a crower stroker kit i wanna know if this is a good idea.... my car is COMPLETLY stock should i upgrade exaust and intake first or go along as planned.

A Crower stroker kit is about 4 grand, and with no other mods will net you...not a whole lot of power. You're increasing displacement by 15% if you go all the way up to 2.3L, and since you're not improving the parts that actually flow air, your best bet is about a 15% power increase. On an otherwise stock car, that's maybe 20 hp. There are much more cost effective ways of adding 20 hp.

A built bottom end is either 1)an integral part of a very thorough build or 2)one of the last things you need to worry about. If you're weighing a stroker kit vs. an intake and exhaust...get the intake and exhaust. Let the engine flow more air.
