So there's this really freaking old car at my work. It has no badging on it, but it still has a logo on the steering wheel. Can't get a pic through the window... The logo is a castle, water and a creature of some kind. The creature is over the castle. I KNOW I've seen it before, I just can't figure it out and it's bugging me!

Post a photo of the symbol on the steering wheel and of the car...

I was thinking it might be an old Alfa. More recent Alfa's have a cross and serpent symbol.

Peugeot has a lion (or is it a griffon) in the badge but no castle or water.

Some of the old Porsche 356's had a badge with a prancing horse and what looks like part of a crown or a castle tower...

Photos would help...

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNEW I'd seen it. It looked like an old VW- kinda rounded front, sloped back. I've seen them a bunch of times, but this one they've done work to the front and back and I wasn't sure. And I didn't know that was a VW logo.

Yeah, but they had evened out the front and smoothed out the body lines on the side and rear.

i love anything Ghia...they are funky lookin cars. did a double take the first time i saw one.
