We need to have a meet this year... Or at least have some mini meets if we can't get all of us together...

I live in Austin, have a kinda big house and a "bar" in my house. :smile: So I'm offering my house for a spot to meet. I know on the old board Corby was also offering his place in Brenham.

We need to talk seriously about the meet, first of all get a list (some how) or ask the gm about all the registered people in Texas then invite them all to a big @$$ meet.
Then after you get a list of all the people that are going, make a list of what to buy food music etc.
Do this a few weeks before the meet so each of us can take the day off.

link where do you stay in texas. we are trying to decide whether to have it in austin or in brenham. we really want to get the most people we can to come out so if we need to make it closer to you then we can. and also, i dont htink many people know each other yet, tahts the point of having a meet, hell ive only met peter once and im meeting larka today. it will be fun bro. jlmk

well im from the rio grande valley, so im about 5 hrs away from atx. lets wait for gas prices to go down a bit>? its at 3.49, if it doesnt, which it probably wont, i wont be able to make it till next month at least, my tranny is acting up. I really wanna go, so keep me posted.

I got you a list of all the Texas people on the board from the last one. Give me a little bit and I'll figure out on here. But a lot of the people haven't put down where they're from.

I went out to Corby's last night. Big house, big land. And cows! LOL. I have a good sized house, but not as much land as at Corby's.

I'm willing to drive a bit too, just someone pick a date or at least a general idea of a date.

Yea, looks we are half way done but is better then when we started.
After letting know all the people about the party make a list and see how many people can go, then ask them when will be a good day to do the meet after that give them a maximum of maybe 2 weeks so they can prepare or it can be done in the summer so many students whit zx2 can go at anytime.

The only successful meets were drag meets. The only problem is that TJ has a crappy car, bio disappeared (I am not complaining) and everyone else for the most part did aswell.

As for me, I don't own a ZX2 anymore and I don't think I am going to try to drag race my car again.

hey faulker, i like my car, since its been painted, ha, but could use something new, and for the dude that lives in rowlette, close to dallas, man you missed the heyday, there were abunch of us, with z's acouple years ago, and yeah, we always did the meets at the texas motorplex, so you could also break your car. ha.

from gatesville TX i hate austin traffic but will if i have 2, people ridinig the I-35 south should meet up and and ride as a convoy!!!! closest i can meet is temple TX and roll south. weekends would be best (i work 7-3.30 m-f)

I technically live in Manor. I'm on Highway 290 on the edge of Austin. There's some toll road that goes around to where I am. Or once you get into Austin (not counting Georgetown, Round Rock and Pflugerville) like the first big street you hit is Parmer Lane. I work at the Sears Grand at the corner of Parmer and 35. You can just come straight down Parmer to 290 and not have to worry about going through Austin.

You can help me. :smile: I'll even drive to DFW. The front bumper is going to need some fixing when it finally gets here and I still need to work on the rear bumper I have and paint it. And I have a bunch of other plans, but I hate working on my car by myself, it kills my motivation. :sad:

Sure, just let me know. We can set up a weekend to do it. I'll show you my fiberglass skills and teach you how to do it too. That way you will always know how to repair fiberglass.

as of right now, its up in the air. my car is down and i think larka is just now getting hers outta the shop. we should know something really soon tho. it just probably wont be in early july like we wanted it to be.

I got my car back yesterday- and it's back in as of this morning... :rofl:
