Preggo Section?

So I was wondering if we were getting the preggo section back or if anyone really wants it back? I also had an idea... instead of it being strictly the preggo section, make it the Children and Pregnancy Section. Then it will encompass more of the members. Any takers?

Heck yes we should have it back. I understand this is a car site, but if you don't want the section, then don't go in it. Those of us that recently had children all used that section to discuss things and bond as humans outside the car realm.

If you just want this to be a car site, then get rid of ANYTHING not car related, don't just single out a section you don't like/want/understand.

Sure, why not. I don't visit that topic too often, seeing that my kids are the ages of a lot of the members here (21-27), but what's it gonna hurt? A place to go to get away from the Z for awhile and show off your REAL baby pics! (As opposed to pics of your "baby", the 4 wheeled one, that is. ;) )

it's funny...most of us started out on here 5-10 years ago in our late teens-early 20's...and it was evident. now as most of us are growing up..and having kids and families, it's shown by interest of a family/kids/prego section. i think that shows how awesome we are for retaining members for a decade already! i say make the forum...make it for all things kid/family/baby related, though. then i can tell of my 3 y/o's adventures. :rocknana:

It's a car forum, I don't see the point. I also do not have a family or kids to brag about so I have no reason to go to it. I guess I could honestly care less, not about the families, but an area just for them.

I vote no, but I'm not against the community wanting such a section.

There's my point made for me... If you're against this section, then you should be against any section that isn't ZX2 oriented... including killing time and dear diary and P&R section... If you're not against those sections, then you shouldn't be against a preggo/family section ;) Not trying to be rude, but it makes no sense to support sections that you can contribute to, but not one that you can't. The reality of that comment is called a "double standard"... Just sayin'.

Well I think what happened was that those members at that time found little time to post in the other sections. See before that section came up, I had posted in the other sections, including the car related. But when I had gotten pregnant... I didn't have as much time and I was also too tired to read all of the other posts so I just kind of stuck to that section for that time. But now that I've had my baby I have more energy and can contribute more to the whole site.

Ill be one to admit that after the preggo section started i posted 97% of my posts in there.Only because i was ready to leave the fourm because there was noone to talk to about life and kids.My husband as already left the fourum .

simply put...as the people on this forum have grown and their lives have changed, so must the forum that brought them all together. i can honestly say, without this site, i wouldn't be as fanatic about my car...wouldn't have quit college the way i did....wouldn't have joined the coast guard...and wouldn't have met my wife and had my kid. there's a lot of people on here that have been around for a while, and through a lot...grown up a lot...met their spouse...it's a growing forum, and we need a small offshoot of it to keep up with that growth. this forum has become more than cars...it's a community.

I just really didn't think it was going to be this big of a deal. I thought a Family section would be nice. I didn't want a simply preggo section like we had before. I wanted something that would include more of the members. And you know... if no one else had wanted it back, I would have been okay with it. But I don't think it's right to manipulate a poll just to try and get your way. It just makes me sad that this got so out of hand. The poll doesn't matter because he said if enough people are interested. He didn't say if more people are interested than people who aren't so pretty much the votes against don't count for anything. Its just if theres enough for it.
