Ok heres one problem I wish Ford would just figure out.

They create the zx2, then they produce a sick S/R but shit, you either choose to have a moonroof with no power windows or power everything with no moonroof! wtf. I think I have found ONE and only one zx2 s/r that had power everything with a moonroof. Then Ford decideds to stop making them.... I mean what the hell. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Yeah I know, just gives me something to bitch at being a chevy guy. For example:

Why ford did this I don't know, but the focus headlights have a bolt that goes through the fender into the side of the light. Only way to get to this is under the car with a wrench. And the stupid bumper to fender bolts, need like 2ft of extensions to reach them. I hate every focus, nothing is easy on them. At least the 500 / taurus and fusions come apart better.

Oh yeah and where are them bolts for the front bumper... OH you have to reach inside the fender to get to them? Oh and one side it blocked by the cruise control (i think). Oh and all the bolts are rusted on everything and they are so weak they just break? Oh our bad, guess them grade 8 bolts were just a lil to much. it would have raised the cost of the car $200

good thing you put 'i think' because theres nothing blocking them. that still doest change the fact that its a pain in the ass to do it.

lol I took my front bumper off, it was surprisingly easy haha. But that passenger side bolt is a BITCH. How do they expect you to get in there?

I used to say this all the time, as well.
But it really does apply to all makes of cars.

Engineers design well enough, but are forced to modify the designs to fit in to smaller spaces, save money by using less/different parts/crappier materials, and are generally not happy with the end result, either.

I wouldn't not yell about anything on till you work on a cadallic concours. Were the starter is like under the intake manifold and there are two belts to drive the car. One is separated from the others just driving the water pump

Ford's problem is they have no spirit, no automotive soul, no leadership. they sold out to the bean counters decades ago. It is a shame, because they have some hardware if put together properly could be the base of a decent car.

2 door Focus with Mazda version of 2.3 4 cyl engine or the 260+ HP DIZI from the MazdaSpeed3. Why are they saving int Duratec 3.5 V6 for a few cars when a tuned version of the Fusion with the 260+ HP 3.5 V6, tuned suspension and brakes plus a cosmetic package would make a decent car... The Fusion 3.5 S/R or even put a SVT badge on it...

As I said, Ford has no automotive soul.

well, I think they will be coming back in the next few years... the next gen RWD platform (based off the australian Falcon) was spotted LHD somewhere in the US, the next gen Taurus (or whatever they are going to call it) is nice as Hell, and they are bringing a global design to their company. (Yay! Euro spec Focus on its way! 2011)

+ the fact that the current focus sales are so good they plan on accelerating the production. The escape (especially hybrid) sales are good. They are also bringing the new Festiva in the US

and the next gen eco-boost engine family will be a hit (twin turboed V6, turbo 4 bangers, etc.)
