Hey...

I have never done any body work in my life and i have to replace or fix both rocker panels on my car. If i don't by this fall they will be more then just holes. The only thing holding everything up right now is basically the paint...

What is the best way to fix these... I have had some people say to use tin, and other that say spray foam inside and fiberglass it... I don't know how big of an area it is because i don't want to start something that is to big for me to handle.

It would be appreciated to get some information on how to do this, or the best way to go around it... I know i can not get pre-fabbed rocker panels i have already tried that...

Thanks

The best way to fix the rockers is to replace them . You'll need to check the inner rocker reinforcement to see if it's rusted out . The dealer should be able to get you the body parts you need , it's a service part . Check these numbers with the dealer. These panels would have to be installed by a body shop or someone you know that does bodywork .

Rocker Panel : F8CZ-6310128-AA/right , 10129-AA/left , $190.00

Inner Rocker : F7CZ-54101B28-AC/right $75.00 , 101B29-AC/left $55.00

Sounds good... I will give the dealership a call tommorow... When i called earlier they said they did not make rocker panels for it? Ill try a different dealer ship...

Those panels suppl;y strength - they are not just there for looks.
It is an involved job. Replacement by new parts and welding is best.

I would pull the carpet up and check the floor pans , doors and rear quarters . If you find a lot of rust , you'll spend a lot more then the cars worth to fix .
