I know it was talked about on the old site, but I do not recall what the max effective spark advance was found to be with SCT. Currently I logged mine at 28.5. I recall Vit stating 30 something was either too much or made no difference.

It depends on your compression, cams, and other variables.
For NA in our cars, 25-33 is a range.
28.5 is decent. You may squeeze a few more degrees out of her and it may help. It may just heat the plugs more, though.
Short term testing on a dyno is not a long pull in gear on the road. Dynos often call for more advance than is welcome for the street. Sure, you get best power, but before the parts stabilize and really heat up. It can be false.
