hey folks, i just got back home today from a detail i Washington D.C.
My unit was tasked with flying guard for the pope when he visited this wekend. and while i dont have actual pictures of "his grace" I do have some great pictures of one of my many adventures.

and for yall that dont know, this p40 airspace (which is the most restricted airspace in the country, which we had the rare honor of flying 500 feet above ground all over washington. ) sometimes my job has its perks

there are no nude strip clubs in VA...everyone i went to "A" school with in the Coast Guard took trips to Delaware for those. they have bikini bars in VA. at least, that's how it was 5 years ago.

It's been like that for years......

Glad you got to do something neat "slinger"........D.C. is cool but can get old quick if your there more than week. Smithsonian Museums FTW...

Looks like those old choppers need a boost of something anyway.

So is Gettysburg. I grew up about 15-20 minutes from it and went to the battlefield all of the time, some summers I was there every weekend.

Awesome pictures.

I assume you are a 15T, I am a 15Y and I havta say I have never heard of the stuffed animal thing, I have heard of an american flag in the cockpit thing though. That must have been fun. I have yet to ride in a blackhawk, always got rides in chinhooks.

Well, as far as tittie bars in the G-burg area, there's only one I know of. IF you would've went a little farther west you would've found Ms. Lyndsay's. Let me tell you from past experience, it's not that great of a place. I'll never forget this one time there though, this stripper named Asia was dancing that night, and she was amazing.

BTW...you know that tower you were on up at Little Round Top...the one in the picture. Yea, about 2-3 summers ago some friends and myself were up there around 2am, and we felt a ghostly presence just about where you are standing.

That was a crazy night, and it wasn't the first time I've been around a spirit in that town. Before anyone says anything, we all noticed it and we were all sober/grounded, (if you know what I mean).

when i lived in yorktown, we used to go ghost hunting all the time. usually in the old battlefields was where we'd get spooked, but there was this one place called Crawford Road, at the bridge, you could see the 3 black girls that were hung there....crazy stuff. i can't explain it!
