So the plug that connects to my driver's side headlight is completely fried. How hard would it be to rewire that plug? I guess this will probably depend on whether it is just the plug, or the wiring that goes to it.

Anyone ever had to replace this thing before? I am assuming I can get the part at O'Reillys or Autozone?

I just replaced the harness behind the housing when mine fried from high wattage bulbs. The hardest part was fiashing the new wiring thru the opening behind the headlight. The rest is plug and play.

its a 7 step process

1.) go to junk yard
2.) find zx2
3.) snip healight plug with plenty of extra wire
4.) put in pocket
5.) go home
6.) cut old harness
7.) wire in new one

problem fixed

Unfortunately, we don't really have any junkyards around here. There is one, and they are about as expensive as buying new stuff since they are the only ones. And there is not a single pull it yourself yard anywhere near here. I have never even seen one...

You can buy replacement pigtails at any major auto parts store. They are a pain in the butt to replace because the original wire is only so long. But I've replaced both of mine...
