RETURN THE BONDO NOW
I'm VERY serious. Bondo brand... anything... sucks.
Bondo filler is VERY hard to sand, cracks easily, is picky with the amount of hardener you put in, is never consistent, thick and hard to mix properly which leads to air bubbles / pin holes which leads to more filler being added into pinholes.
Look up your local automotive paint suppliers and get a container of Rage Gold or anything from the Evercoat line.
Bondo Resin sucks also. Its high in wax content meaning if you let it fully cure and then decide to put more layers of fiberglass/resin on, it creates a barrier from proper bonding. To get around this it is REQUIRED to sand the previously cured fiber/resin so the new fiber/resin has something to bite into. Another problem with Bondo resin is it is thick which makes it harder to "wet-out" the fiberglass (making it transparent). Higher grade resins are easier to wet-out and result in a better resin-material ratio which = stronger and ligther weight.
Again, Evercoat is good for their Resin also. Not the best, but its better than Bondo brand.
If you want a good/great resin, get US Composites b440 resin at $30.50 a gallon.
