need help, engine swaps

i recently blew up my motor in my 99 zx2 what are some motors to swap it out for i know some late model probes will fit but i dont know any other ones can someone help? what about a focus svt?

ah i really want something faster like a kl-ze but i do not know the details and if they would fit right i know motors i just dont know what would be sufficient

anything fits with modification.

Nothing will bolt onto our tranny and its not worth to keep our tranny.

what i was asking is what type of motors will fit other than a 2.0 that came in it

Anything if you can weld and aren't scared of wire harnesses. We have a V6 and V8 swaps. But, this is going to be hard and expensive to do. If you want more power, install the Zetec and boost it. These engines are hard to destroy. Did you run it out of oil or let it run hot?

The Mazda KL series fit but its a lot of time and money. Ive got 7 months into my swap and its still not running. Youll be out a car for a while.

You have to be very rich and have a lot of time to perform a swap.
And at that point, why not just get a bigger gun?

HUH-put a 460 big block in it. Cut out the firewall, move everything back a few inches, take out the rear seats, and make it a rear wheel drive...Maybe a 3126 cat-get some serious toque in it. Would be an awesome waste of money but the cool factor would be there.

Got to agree with mechtech.....once you start modifying beyond original specs at the level of engine/trans you can spend more then you would on a different ride (usually). Plus you will be limited in what classes you can race it in since it is no longer stock. (or so I've heard.....I don't race)
