I know my head unit has an aux in on the faceplate, but I'm wanting to run my cord from mu head unit to my Zune through my cubby. I was wondering, my head unit has "bus audio in" in the back, would that work?

Install Manual for my head unit (http://www.xplodsony.com/files/manuals/CDX-GT310_Installation_Manual.pdf)

the bus in is for md or cd changer etc. check on ebay they almost always have the adapters to allow you to do what you want
such as this... http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-RCA-AUX-CAR-RADIO-AUDIO-IN-INPUT-LEAD-FOR-iPOD-DVD_W0QQitemZ270231768533QQihZ017QQcategoryZ60208Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

That's actually pretty close to something that would work. Checked around on eBay and all I found were FM Modulators. If my head unit didn't have Unlink that adapter would probably work. Looks like I'm stuck using that stupid front jack. -.-

Ooh! Double-post.. I know.. If I could find a way to trick my head unit into thinking that I have a CD-changer it will play the audio from the bus-in. Maybe a rewire of a bus control cable?

Edit: Check this out! http://gnunilink.sourceforge.net/

Edit 2: The above link looks pretty easy to make. My friend's an electrical engineer and has the equipment. I might go ahead and have him help me throw one of these together. If it works and others out there would like some, lemme know.
