Fan on high Hack

Im trying to do it But forgot what is the correct way to gorund it or hook it up to a switch.

I know the wire from the PCM is Pink/blue

Basically I want to turn the fan on when I want, BUT, make the PCM turn it on when its needs.

The high side of the fan is red/black. Just splice one wire from the red/black to one side of your SPST switch and the other side of the switch to ground. The PCM connection will remain undisturbed and you can operate the fan when wanted.

I thought that we should use BOTH hot wires to the fan [low and high speeds] when wiring in our own switch.
But maybe just the high is enough?
