I just got back from bowling with my girl, like an hour ago....I averaged 165 for the 3 games. I hate playing with the bowling alley's balls though. They never fit right. My highest was 228 a few months ago. BTW, it's $1.50 to rent the shoes, then $3.00 a game here.

Same here. I'm usually in the 190+ range, with a perfect set ball.

well I started 2:45 and ended Just before 4:00. I had to get baby stuff from wally world. LOL at your guys ball choice. I just use whatever is there. I dont play enough to have a prefered choice

I bought some shoes on sale at Meijer for $15 and then every tuesday, wednesday, and thursday it's dollar games! I prob bowl like 5 games a night. Average is about 150 - 160 with a hight of 188!

I had fun, but dont see myself bowling alot lol. we went out last sunday and there was a red PIN in front and I got a strike, so they gave me a card. Buy one game and get the 2nd one free, so I had to use it and today was the day lol

For years I bowled in 2 different work related leagues on week nights. Both were mixed leagues, so there were plenty of women bowlers. It got to the point where I was bringing two balls (reactive for 1st ball and nearly straight ball for some spares) a couple extra balls at home, 2 sets of gloves, 3 wrist braces, etc.

Every year I bought a new ball and kept the better two of last years first balls. In the winter I started keeping the balls at work so they would be an even temperature. On, and on and on, etc., etc., etc.

Lost track of alcohol consumption and there was a lot of bad behavior. There were times it was a 'singles' league for married people. When I noticed certain guys were arguing and fighting every week and things were becomeing too competetive (one was a money league) I decided to take a few years off...

Stats were pretty good and I won't list them, but it was rare when i didn't throw at least one 200+ game a night. (Average was around 185 for 4 consecutive years before I quit.)

I've been bowling candlepins up in MA and NH since... far more challenging game and a lot more fun. High candlepin game is 151 and I usually roll one 100+ game a night.

Sundays they have red pin bowling here. If theres a red pin in front, and you get a strike, you get a free game. Also on sundays you can rent a lane for $12 for 1 hour, dont matter how many people are playing in that lane.

Random, out of teh last 4games I played my scores were, 81, 87, 167, 91 LOL

I dont know HOW I did it honestly. It was fun though. My goal is to get at least 1 pin down everytime I throw it. That makes a good game for me :-)

NICE!! thats really good for not bowling ever.. I had a high game last week also I bowl in a league and have an average of 172. But last week I bowled a 275 it was amazing.. $12/hr is cheap its $28.50/hr where I bowl..

well I have a sister and her sport is bowling, and mine is golfing for recreation. I now work at the hotel ON the golf course in which Tiger woods was just at last week. I get free golf which is awsome and great pay. I wanted to spend some tiem with the gf and we used up my free game of bowling yesterday. I just threw the ball down the alley lane thing and some how got a turkey to show u p on the screen there and then 2 spares, 2 more stirkes, and down hill from there.

Just out of curiosity, what are the most strikes anyone has thrown in a row ?? My best is 8 within a game and 9 across 2 games (ended with strikes then started with strikes.)

In one of my leagues there were 2 guys (one has 8 300 games at last count) who threw 300 games in sanctioned play and a couple of others that had 298 or 299 games. The idea of throwing 11 or 12 strikes in a row is out of my range and I start getting nervous once I get to 6. Best score in a sanctioned game is 268 (twice) and best in open bowling is 279.

...bowling candlepins is a humbling experience, where breaking 100 is a major accomplishment. Who lives in new England and has tried candlepins ??

The most I bowled in a row was 3 but I have bowled 5 or 6 strikes in a game before. It was at my college and I had a ball there that I could spin perfectly and was really lucky with it. After the first time using that ball I could never find it again. :(

nice, I was bowling for an hour a week for about three months. using a different, random house ball each time and shoes, I was bowling a consistent 200+ with a hi of 231. Kind of crazy and lame considering, but o well.
