• What's that blank spot on the Forum home page?

    That blank spot is where our ChatBox belongs, and apparently it's not too happy about getting along with Internet Explorer at the moment. Does it look like this screenshot below? If so, please visit the Google Chrome Frame plugin page and install this lightweight plugin for Internet Explorer. Once that plugin is installed you'll be able to view and use our ChatBox.


    In the mean time, please bear with us as we go through this upgrade process to bring you all the features you've gotten used to and more!

      when i click that link, it says i don't hvae access.

      zxtwou2, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

      Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
      If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

      i installed chrome frame...and the main forum page does not load, and some new popup thing asks if i'd like to kill the page or keep waiting. i kept hitting "wait" every few minutes....and it still won't load....20 minutes later

      Kill the browser and restart it.

      All I know is, once you get that GCF installed, your IE will run like magic. The trick is installing it.

      it installed...but it might not have installed prpoerly, since i don't have admin rights on any of my work computers. don't be sorry, it's Caterpillar's fault

      Websense blocks it as Freeware.. Any chance you could host the control locally?

      Also, I read last night (can't find it now) you suggested changing the theme back to the default rather than the blue. But I can't choose default on the quick change and I can't find the layout control in the Settings.. Where am I missing and can you just change it for me Vit?

      Since when is Freeware bad? Freeware is just free software. You have an application blocking software you don't have to pay for? :P

      You have free software blocking other free software??? No, unfortunately I can't host that plugin, it's a web based installer from Google.

      There is no second theme anymore, I fixed the first theme to not blank out the whole page (unclosed table tag in the plugin). I can't support more than one theme right now, too much upkeep.

      I know man, don't worry too much about it. We'll all deal with it for the time being.

      Will you be upgrading to a chatbox similar to the old one eventually or are we sticking with this one?

      on the forum page all i could see was the "welcome to teamzx2" i had internet explorer on my desktop so i ended up installing the newest firefox available now i can see the chatbox and everything...if anyone is encountering that problem on their home laptop/desktop w/ internet explorer try out firefox and see if it works, its also much faster as well which is nice. idk if this will help anyone out but i thought i'd throw it out there as something to try. also i do realize this probly wont help at a work or school situation, but its worth a shot.

      Its a Government Machine on a Government Network.. They don't want people installing Free Software, or any OTHER software. I can't install the Chrome Frame because it requires Admin Rights (Google even says so) and of course, Websense blocks it anyway..
