Just an update on my 98 ZX2 with S/R PCM install. I went back to the junk yard and got a CCRM from a 2000 ZX2 and installed it. It fixed the constant fan running at start up but still had P0340 code. After viewing several diagrams I pulled the PCM and found that a pin had bent on the PCM and was shorted to the pin next to it. I straightened the pin and carefully re-installed. P0340 code is now gone and car is running fine. You can definitely feel the increase in power. However it was not necessary to upgrade from a 4 to 6 wire MAF. It is only necessary when you have A/C. I do not. Thanks to all who replied.
