whats your favorite engine of all time?

whats your favorite engine of all time? any motor any company from anywere that you know decent. It could be cause of the hp, speed, dependability, whatever the reason, say what one you like and the reason.

I have 2 honestly that tie for me. the first is the dodge 318 V-8. it will take an absolute beatting and pull a ton. may not be the fastest small block, but, it can get a heavy truck movin pretty decent.

My second has to be the 2.0 zx2 motor. it is one of the most reliable for me atleast under extream conditions. my first dirt track car was a zx2. it was on the track for 7 years and the first 5 was the origenal motor that was never touched, not even a timing belt. i raced it with no water, no belt, everything. never could blow that thing up.

Its a tie... 2.0 zetec.. tough bastard, and ford 460... torque is all i have to say.

i would have to say the Fanuc Alpha i series motors are my favorites. that's what's on most of the robotics i work with.

surprised you didn't make this about engines instead of motors

favorite engine would be the RTA96C. 95,000 hp, and more torque than you'd like to know about.

it's made in Japan, so probably like a Honda. wonder when it hits VTEC.

I see no VTEC...but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its 950 liters, I mean it would have to be to maintain there 100hp/liter claims. I also don't think it revs like a Honda either.
